Eva Braun, the famous Serbian pop-rock group, is the first famous performer of Nikšić's Bedem Fest, which will be held from August 2 to 4. It will be the premiere performance in Montenegro for the musicians from Bečej, who have been a significant part of the regional alternative scene for more than a quarter of a century, according to their publisher Lampshade Media.
Two days ago, Eva Braun broke a multi-year recording hiatus by releasing the single and music video "The Road to Lisbon", recorded in collaboration with the frontman of Electric Orgasm, Srđan Gojković.
In the meantime, the organizers of Bedema are promoting their event in the region, so festival director Petar Šundić participated in the third regional music conference "Contact" in Belgrade, which, as announced, was visited by more than 15 thousand people and more than 80 accredited journalists.
Šundić, as the only representative of the Montenegrin festival industry, spoke at the round table "How to make a successful festival" and pointed out the importance of viewing the festival as a work of art around which all relevant factors gather - partners in the private and public sector, the media, visitors, performers, sponsors, volunteers...
"The autonomy of festival creators is very important in order to preserve authenticity, but also to remove the risks of dangers such as commercialism, patternism in the selection of performers, as well as numerous other pitfalls in front of the interest machinery that can take away the soul of the festival. Fortunately, Bedem never had that problem and hence the nickname 'festival with soul'. The path to a successful festival requires, first of all, true love for music, then wisdom, tact, long-term vision, patience, persistence, trust, but also the creative craziness that drives everything," said Šundić, adding that Bedem, which is celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, " thanks to decades of persistent work and Sisyphean energy, became the leading regional festival", and that they are proud that progress is evident in all segments.
