Almost all the concerts that the "prince of sevdah" Božo Vrećo had in Montenegro were sold out in record time, so the great interest in the two gatherings with the Podgorica audience that the artist will have on May 16 and 17 in the Great Hall of the KIC was not surprising. Budo Tomović. However, Vrećo does his best to make each of his concerts different from the previous ones.
"It's always a catharsis, and it's always something unusual and unusual, so sweet and familiar to our hearts that I come with this sincere love and warmth this time, as well as every previous one and every next one," he told Vijesti.
"I cry because of so much love, because it touches you and bathes you and fills you with the most emotional intensity and permeates and inspires me at the same time. It will be two magical sevdah nights permeated with blues, soul and jazz, I am so happy and excited that I can't wait to sing and dance in front of my beloved Podgorica", says Vrećo.
He will have support on stage in the form of accompanying musicians who will play the violin, percussion and drums as well as the accordion and piano. When asked how his acapella songs sound in this line-up, and how those recorded with musical accompaniment, he agrees:
"Everything is a matter of improvisation and the moment, from concert to concert. It's always completely different and inspired by the symbiosis of me and the audience, that is, our cohesion and unity - we become one being and that synergy is crucial to create a completely new direction in this genre, and I managed to do that. My songs liberate, inspire and love, that's how they influence people".
He stated that he will be joined on stage by Kadir Dogan with drums and percussion, Stefan Rakić - violin and Marko Nikolić - accordion and piano.
"They are all different live arrangements and a lot of freedom in their performance and idea, because in my opinion that is the pinnacle of music creation. Creating music on stage, without frameworks and limitations and minutes, will last as long as I feel it should and it's always the perfect way to tell a story, so that everyone can understand it, regardless of language - emotions are our universal language and I strive for that," he points out. an artist.
After every two-hour concert in Podgorica, Vrećo almost always stays long enough to take pictures with fans, and that's how, as he says, he is welcomed wherever he performs.
"Always and everywhere there are queues that last over an hour and a half of photography. Now I'm back from Niš and Novi Sad, and my audience is waiting for me full of gifts. I bring all that into my small apartment and have them all around me. Their love surrounds me. It's the same outside when there are many more foreigners than people from the Balkans at my concerts. It's wonderful to see lines of people on Broadway in New York, or in Tasmania, take photos with them for an hour and get the most beautiful compliments. That's what I live for, to sing to them with a lot of love and to welcome them with open arms so they can trust me, tell and show who they are and how much they know how to love", says Vrećo.
It is common for tickets to his shows to sell out in record time. Many fans who visit Bož Vreć's concert don't miss a single one in their city anymore, which makes him especially happy. "I am aware of everything and I am very sad because it seems that even two concerts are not enough for everyone who wants to listen to me. Concerts are sold out in just a few hours in one day, it's fascinating. You know, the concerts are sold out everywhere and more tickets are being requested, but Podgorica is my brightest pearl and that's why I have two concerts in a row just there. I will always be happy to come to you and it is simply the home of my soul and will remain so. It is said in your country, and my Montenegrin mother would often say: 'Wherever you go and wherever you come back, may you be with angels'.
