"The rebellious message of rock and roll is something special"

That for good rhythm and music you need palms and a drum, for a good "song" three vowels, and for good energy Dragoljub Đuričić was shown at the tenth anniversary Bedem Fest, which was opened by one of the best drummers from the former Yugoslavia.

"Niksic is the right city for rock and roll. Here is the working class, and where it is, there is rock and roll. In all cities where there is industry, good rock and roll bands spring up in abundance. Because that rebellious message of rock and roll is something very special", said Đuričić after the performance.

According to him, the old city fortress is one of the most beautiful places in Montenegro, so he was guided by the idea of ​​organizing an independent concert at Bedem.

"We are a nation that forgets to rely on its past, and we talk about it a lot, so let's talk less and work more," said Đuričić.

He likes that more and more rock festivals are organized, both in Nikšić and throughout Montenegro, but if it were possible, he would "stretch" it out over the whole year.

"This Sunday will be rock and roll rich, and next Sunday is Lake fest and you have a rock and roll rich week again, and then you will have 55 weeks without a festival".

Maja Cvetković, from "E play", said that Bedem Fest has its own charm, that the audience is always great, and the hosts are excellent. The Belgrade band used the "comeback" concert to present songs from their latest album to the audience.

"What Petar Šundić is doing in Nikšić is really worthy of attention. I think it's great that there are so many festivals in Montenegro. I don't know what happened to you, but it's okay. I see that some things are moving, that people are calling us, that the more we play, the more important it is to us," said Cvetković.

The frontwoman of the band "E play" believes that saying that rock and roll is dead "doesn't drink water" if the audience still likes that kind of music.

"Bedem Fest is my favorite festival. I think that the festival, which in ten years managed to turn from a small festival into a very important festival with tradition. We come here even when we're not playing, so this is really great for me. Petar has always been quite 'colorful' in his music choices. Unlike other festivals, he never wanted to rewrite. He was always himself," said Cvetković.

After two years, again Bisera Velentalić and Vasil Hadžimanova's band and again "golden day" at Tvrđava. After the performance, both she and the band, as well as the not-so-large audience, were "fulfilled". Because that's what good music and performers provide - "fulfillment".

"There is less and less real music. We have 'fools' who are editors and only look at how to get money. Festivals have disappeared because music is 'dead'. They killed it. Just like in politics, so it is in music. But, we we don't give up," said Velentalić and admitted that Nikšić "won" only on the second viewing.

Last time she had the impression that the city under Trebjes was "abandoned and forgotten", but this time she and Nikšić "found each other".

"Last time I didn't like something, but today it somehow grew on me. That's why I said that I feel at home on stage, because I don't talk nonsense, I don't go to 'get under your skin'. I'm the opposite of that. I always work against it, but by doing so, I get under my skin even more. I think that this city should reward these people in some way, because the city is recognized by the Wall and by its beer", said the "owner" already of anthology hits.

On the first evening of the festival, "Dingospo Dali" and "Gospoda Glembajevi" performed, and the film about Vlada Divljan "Heavenly Theme" was also shown.
