The Serbian band "Zemlja gruva" recently released a new single "Circles" in which they present a story about an emotional relationship that is pressing on alienation, monotony in the relationship and saturation. Although it currently has more than five thousand views, the new single "Zemlje Groove" has no dislikes or negative comments for now, the lyrics were written by the singer of this band Ana Radonjić aka Zoe Kida, who is the co-author of the music together with Milovan Bošković, Jovan Antić, Dušan Sarić, Luka Lopičić, Marko Vlajčić and Arion Petrovski.

"All the reactions that have come to us are positive and affirmative. Judging by the likes, those who have heard the song like it, it remains for it to find its way to a wider audience," Zoe Kida said in an interview with "Vijesti".

With the single "Krugovi" they also announce the launch of the online store "Gruv", which is launched by the studio "Gruveland" with the idea of promoting local producers and creative creators, and Zoe Kida talks about all this for "Vijesti"...

Given that the leitmotif of the track is circles as a metaphor for an emotional relationship that is oppressed by alienation, monotony and saturation, what inspired you to write this track?

Honestly, I know a lot of people who languish in bad emotional relationships without the determination to resolve something, turn over a new leaf, face their fears and leave the vicious circle. This, on many levels, creates dissatisfied individuals, which reflects on the society in which we live. The theme of cyclicality and repetition of the same matrix follows us in other spheres of life, so this metaphor of circles is multidimensional.

Can two people who have lost their passion and love repair their relationship, or is it doomed the moment they realize that they are "going round and round"? What is your opinion?

I believe that when both men and women have the determination to fix their relationship, work on it together, communicate, listen to each other, they can get back on track.

How do you comment on the fact that there are more and more couples who are just going around in circles?

The time we live in encourages us to think only about ourselves and fulfill our desires, satisfy our needs. It's a one-way street, and a relationship is a relationship between two people that, by nature, works both ways. There are different motives for getting into a relationship, marriage, and there are so many good and bad examples, but in the end it all boils down to love and giving.

Your friends also took part in the video, did they manage to convey the point of the story in the right way?

I didn't even know how good the actresses were. It is interesting that all of them found some part of their experience in the song, so it was not difficult for them to portray these situations. The only problem was the speed and amount of text so there were hiccups and stutters.

This track launched the online store "Gruv", which was launched by the studio "Gruvland" with the idea of promoting local producers and creative creators. Do you have the support of your colleagues and whose other songs, apart from "Zemlje Groove", will you be promoting soon?

"Groovland" launched its online store where we will collaborate with artists, designers, creatives and promote local design and art. For now, there are promo t-shirts "Zemlje Gruva", t-shirts from the fashion line "Zena Dete" which I sign, homemade cosmetics promoted by Konstrakta and myself, hand made accessories. In our studio, we work 20 hours a day on several parallel projects. Soon we announce another intriguing solo single by Konstrakt.

The crisis in music is felt more and more every day, how much do these platforms make it easier for musicians to reach the audience?

The time has come when it is most difficult to get the audience's attention because people are oversaturated with content, novelties, and trends. Songs are released every day, hyperproduction is represented on all plans, and the competition is great. "Zemlja Gruva" as a band has been functioning independently since its founding, and that is why we are pioneers on our scene. We have our own loyal audience that follows what we do and we build fan circles organically. Everything we've done didn't happen overnight, behind everything is honesty and hard work, and that's what our audience appreciates. The online shop is another pioneering move by "Zemlje Gruva" and was created with the aim of networking with artists from different spheres and creating quality content.

Solo projects are logical and something we have been planning for a long time

Konstructa recently released the solo single "Zvake". How do you like it and how much did it confuse your fans to think that "Zemlja Gruva" is going on hiatus?

It's a logical sequence and something we've been planning for a long time, but haven't found time for solo projects. Konstrukta made three singles that differ in style from the recognizable sound of "Zemlje Gruva". It is her author's project, from the music to the visuals, and it keeps up with today's trends, but brings a fresh, original signature, which is the most important thing. The best is yet to come from Konstrakt, so stay tuned!

Have you thought about building a solo career alongside the band?

I am, of course, but I am now in the baby phase, from which I will only be able to leave realistically in a year. With a month to go until the birth of my second baby, I have a very challenging year ahead of me which I will use to gather ideas and inspiration.
