Six rappers will perform tonight at an event called "Hip Hop Live" at the Alternative Cultural Center in Podgorica, while a night later a karaoke night will be held at the same place, announced the NGO "Music, Alternative, Culture", which is behind these events.
The hip hop evening will bring together a number of young Montenegrin rappers, mainly those from Podgorica, and the event will start at 21 p.m., while the entrance will be free. Hathor and The Crying Name, MC Blunt, Big Do, Coka and Barti, Ludži and Pepe will perform.
Pepe and Big Do are the most famous names on this list of performers, representatives of the hip hop scene from the capital. Petar Žugić, as is the real name of the rapper who performs under the pseudonym Pepe, introduced himself to the audience for the first time with the song "U očima metropole", for which he recorded a video released last year. He has been making music for five years, and in the middle of this year he released his debut studio release "Rano je do 12", which included seven songs that are available on the YouTube channel.
Ado Radončić, better known as Big Do, has several singles behind him on which he collaborated with colleagues from the domestic rap scene such as Random, Dobbla Galiot, Bacili, Stato and others. He was particularly active this year, releasing two singles, first "Freedom of Speech" in February of this year, and three months later a collaboration with Stata, the track "Rprznt". Both are available on the YouTube service. He is still waiting for his debut album, but it shouldn't take too long since he previously revealed to "Vijesta" that he has established cooperation with the studio Stevi, which is owned by members of the rock groups Parampasčad and Bubnjivi. This summer, he was one of the winners of the traditional annual competition of this studio, which thus indicates the chance for young musicians to record their songs, and the collaboration should result in his studio debut.
Apart from them, MC Blunt has two demo albums - "Peace brother peace" and "U oči" which he released in July of this year, which contains ten songs. AKC has invited all those who like to sing to come to the karaoke night tomorrow evening from 21 pm, where they will have the opportunity to perform their favorite pop and rock hits, and it has been announced that the best expect prizes. Admission to both events will be free.
