Pop singer Beyonce won the most today, a total of nine nominations for the Grammy Awards, among them in the categories for album of the year and song of the year.
Beyoncé (39), who has already won 24 Grammy awards and this year released the album "Black Parade" amid protests in the US against racism, is the first in the number of nominations.
They are followed by British Dua Lipa, American Taylor Swift and rapper Roddy Ricch.
The three of them won six nominations each.
Texas rapper Megan Thee Stallion (25) is one of the musical phenomena of the year and she received four nominations. Billie Eilish, who won the most awards last year, received four nominations this year, among them in the categories for album of the year and song of the year.
The award ceremony is scheduled for January 31, but due to the coronavirus epidemic, it is not yet known whether it will be held online or with the physical presence of the nominees.
The Grammy Awards, established in 1959, are an annual award for outstanding contributions to music and recording, presented by the American Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS).
