The young drum & bass producer from Podgorica Dušan Jovanović recently released his first EP "Along the Way". It is a combination of different sounds and styles that reflect the passion of a young man from Podgorica for acoustic and electronic music, so the end result is a liquid drum & bass EP, and all compositions can be listened to at the link https://linktr.ee/DistantFusion.

"The very name of the album is a sublimation of my previous musical journey, the influence of various musical styles and directions, which ultimately led me to the project called "Distant fusion". I sincerely hope that the audience will enjoy listening to it", says Jovanović.

He admits that he discovered his passion for music early.

“Something that started as a love for rock and metal resulted in me learning to play the guitar. The passion deepened, I wanted to learn more and play better, so at the transition from my teenage years to my mature age I started to create my own music and write songs. I soon saw that I was making progress with ease", says Jovanović, who has been living in Sofia for three years.

Moving to the capital of Bulgaria, as he points out, was the turning point when he decided to seriously pursue music.

"New city, new people, and therefore I had much more time for myself. All that inspired me and gave me space to start making music more seriously. In addition to regular work and obligations, it is difficult to find time to create, but when you really want something, then you find time and a way to do it. When I decided to organize my time so that music was a priority, I very quickly saw how everything could be achieved, and how the quality of work and creation took on a new dimension", says Jovanović.

From that moment on, things took their course, and Dušan began to explore possibilities on his own in order to be able to record and produce an album. Curiosity led him to the Sound Ninja Music Academy, where he learned the basics of production.

"In the process of learning, I realized that my direction is electronic music, especially drum & bass, which pairs perfectly with my guitar skills. After the initial education, I wanted to continue, so my hunger for knowledge resulted in further training in music production. The school helped me, not only to start my musical journey and discover my sound, but also to create many of the songs that are on my debut album", concludes Jovanović.

The bay and Ada are sources of inspiration

The young author points out that inspiration comes from various life moments, current and previous experiences. Very often, he says, inspiration comes when he leaves the studio, while spending time in nature.

"In the meantime, I'm listening to some new music, and then when I get back to the studio, an idea comes up. Something that is very important, at least for me, is to constantly create something, because when inspiration strikes, you have to be ready. As long as you are in the process, something can be born from it", believes Jovanović

As for Montenegro, just spending time in nature, he says, is something that has a good effect on the creative process.

"I like being by the sea, the bay and Ada are definitely two places where any person can find inspiration," Jovanović is sure.
