There are no performances and the DJs and the audience certainly miss them a lot, especially if you take into account that in recent years there have been quite a number of them, on almost all sides and in all forms in Montenegro, from festivals to those organized by various groups for the promotion of electronic music. music, from solo to presenting the domestic scene, to guest appearances by foreign stars. To some extent this has been overcome by live streams from the studio, publishing mixes or through platforms such as Platform081 where their performances are recorded and live streamed via social networks. In such a situation, they were left to deal with production, and this forced some to join forces, as in the case of DJ and producer Vesko Lazović from Podgorica (he performs under the pseudonyms Vesco Lazovich and Pim Secle) and his colleague from Nikšić who is currently stationed in Tivat by Miloš Bulajić Buba, in the form of the album "Ritam te nosi".

Buba's new release contains four tracks that, according to the description of the publisher, the well-known foreign label Engrave Ltd, perfectly represent "the sound from the frontiers of electronic music" and are adorned with an enchanting anthemic quality. The album is available for listening and purchase on Beatport (where it is placed in the indie dance genre), as well as on all other online electronic music stores, for now at a pre-sale price of almost eight dollars, while a single track costs two dollars.

It is the fruit of the close cooperation of these two already experienced names from the domestic electronic scene, which resulted in August last year and an interesting performance precisely for the aforementioned Platform 081. On the YouTube channel of this platform, which in the time of corona, when we are prevented from enjoying music events, started by young enthusiasts and music lovers, you can see and hear a performance at Veriga where Lerr, Buba and Pim Secle shared the mixing desk. The video is divided into two parts, one two-hour and one one-hour performance by Montenegrin DJs. The mentioned album will mark the transition from the painful 2020 to 2021, which we all welcome with the hope that we will soon see things return to normal, but it is interesting that the compositions from this edition have been waiting for a long time to be released, because they were created more than a year ago days.

"The album was created during 2019. I didn't aim for it to be an album, because over time I collected four tracks, together with a remix by Pim Secle (Vesko Lazović). The first tape I made was 'Smisao', after that 'Ritam te nosi', and then "In Front of Future" as the third author's tape that completed the album", Buba told "Vijesti".

The last-mentioned "In Front of Future" will premiere on Monday, January 11 on the Beatport service, announced the DJ and producer who is most dedicated to house sound, but does not shy away from harder rhythms that are mostly related to techno. "Ritam te nosi" will be the successor to his successful album "Dreamlands", released in the middle of last year, which drew attention to himself throughout the ex Yu region, and before and after that with the EP "Black Shadows" for the North South Project and the collaboration with Jelly 4 The Babies.

The release "Ritam te nosi" also has a special emotional note for Vesko Lazović, that is, for his son, who for the first time had the honor of participating in a music project by Montenegrin producers.

"An interesting story related to the tape 'Ritam te nosi' is that Vesko and I planned to do it together, where we both had ideas of how it should sound. However, Vesko sent me his version without my vocals, instead his six-year-old son Kosta sang the chorus, which, to be honest, blew me away. In the end, we decided that his version would be a remix of my original version and that we would release it as such on the album," revealed Buba. The native of Nikšić has always liked collaborations with other musicians, perhaps precisely because it was through one collaboration that he began to deal with electronic music. Namely, as he revealed, he was taught the secret skills of DJing by his older and more experienced friend, DJ Makita, with whom he later started producing and here he has been in that business for eight years, paving the way for himself and increasingly attracting the attention of the audience who, among other things, had the opportunity to listen to him live at festivals such as Refresh, Spring Break and Sea Dance several times.

"When I was 12, 13 years old, I was interested in breakdancing and that's when I realized how rhythm works and that significantly influenced my interest in music. My style is characterized by emotions expressed through warm synth notes and lively percussion. There are bright, playful, but also darker vibes, depending on how I feel at the time of creation," explains Buba.

When it comes to the release "Ritam te nosi", it is also characterized by great freedom in expression.

"I gave myself maximum freedom by not being tied to any genre or style. For the title track, right after the instrumental part, I had a melody ready in my head, which I finally sang and modified to sound exactly the way I wanted. The collaboration with the Italian Engrave LTD came about because I have been in contact with Mauro Musumeći, an Italian DJ and producer who runs this label with Dodi Paleze. I sent him all four tapes and he immediately offered to release them as an album in early 2021. Engrave LTD is a globally known Italian record label, their tapes are played by the biggest names on the electronic scene, so this release gave me the honor of being played or supported by Nick Warren, Lehar, Mathias Meyer, Agents of Time, Dave Siman, Phunkadelica, Elke Klein and many others", boasted Bulajić.

He announced that "In Front of Future" from the new release will premiere on Dream Chimney's SoundCloud channel, and "Ritam te nosi" on Trndmsk channel, so the audience will be able to hear them there as well.

This is not the first time that Buba is in the company of famous names. At the prestigious Sound Avenue competition more than two years ago, he won first place in the competition from over a hundred producers who did a remix for Madloch's tape "State of Mind". Sound Avenue is a famous label whose owner is Madloch, and for which famous names such as the aforementioned Elke Klein, Petar Dundov, Dmitri Molos, Cid Inc, Roger Martinez and others release.

A joint EP is coming soon

As can be seen, the coronavirus pandemic did not significantly disrupt the plans of Bulajić and Lazović.

"Despite this global chaos caused by covid, we both had quite an interesting and creative year behind us. All these measures and quarantines, which we all encounter for the first time, had a positive effect on me, unlike many others. I tried to follow the media as little as possible, and to spend as much time as possible in the studio and be productive, which, I sincerely hope, will be valued this year", announced Lazović aka Pim Secle.

When it comes to the year behind us, his contribution to the track "Ritam te nosi" is cited by Lazović as one of the most significant moments.

"I would also like to highlight the guest appearance by our friends at Platforma081, for which we did two mixes. 'Ritam te nosi' is not my first collaboration with Buba, and this year we are expecting the release of our first joint EP release for the Ukrainian label Druma with two original tracks. I love working with Bubo on new projects. I consider him to be one of the best DJs and producers, not only within Montenegro, but also beyond," praised his colleague Lazović.
