They welcomed this year in Bar, the next will be in Budva. It is almost impossible to imagine a holiday concert in Montenegro or at least on the coast without Bajaga and the instructor. This time, the famous Belgrade rockers will play on December 30 in the metropolis of Montenegrin tourism, and frontman Momčilo Bajagić hopes that the atmosphere will be as good as last year.

"It was fantastic in Bar last year, we and the audience were delighted. We have really good impressions from there. We haven't been to Budva for one or two or three years, but we know where we are coming, to one of the most beautiful places on the coast where you can meet New Year. So I'm glad that we are also part of that New Year's program. We play on the 30th, but that all counts as part of the holiday," Bajaga explains with a laugh.

The fact that it has become almost traditional for him and the team to spend New Year's Eve in Montenegro is nothing strange if you bear in mind that Bajaga dedicated one of his hits to our country.

"It is. It was a long time ago when I made the song 'Montenegro' and that song is still popular and we often play it when we come to Montenegro, and it's good for those celebrations," he points out.

During the summer, the popular musician traditionally played with the Instructors throughout the ex-YU region, but also in Europe, and then, with the arrival of autumn, he threw himself into the preparation of a new album, the successor to the release "Distance, smoke and dust" released five years ago.

The interlocutor of "Vijesti" revealed that there are already eight songs, recorded in "Studio O" in Belgrade, which Bajaga is delighted with.

The rocker said that he is not in a hurry to work on the album, because he is not bound by any contract with any publishing house.

"Two more songs are being worked on, that's our only job. However, considering that we have a lot of performances in December, as well as in January, I believe that everything will be finished by the middle of February. So it could be released somewhere in the beginning of spring," announced the musician.

On Bajaga's official Facebook page, several verses from this and other songs that will be found on upcoming albums, which are dominated by themes of memory, nostalgia, returning to the past...

"There is that and other things. I don't always post everything on Facebook, so there is also an excellent text by Duško Kovačević, our famous playwright, for which I composed music. I think it is the nostalgic one, but I have nostalgic songs on the album, as well as some more optimistic ones. So it all has its own story and we still need to complete it," Bajaga explains.

When it comes to the guests, he says that for now there is nothing spectacular in the announcement, except that Saša Ranđelović, the guitarist of Neverni beba, played a solo on one track.

"And the album also has one of Žika's (Milenković, member of Instructors) music for which I wrote the lyrics, so the two of us made a kind of duet. Maybe there will be another guest appearance, it depends on what I'm going to do, but so far we mostly relied on our own strength," says the musician.

In the studio, it's best to keep a clear head

On the Facebook page of Bajaga and Instructor, a photo was published of the Belgrade rocker playing the guitar surrounded by bottles of wine, but when asked if the recording took place with a lot of drinks, after laughing loudly, he answered in the negative.

"Of course, there was also wine and other drinks, but not really in large quantities. This was just a moment when we were taking a break to have lunch, so there was a little rosé with the meal, but that is not a priority. Somehow in study, however, it's best if you have a clear head," believes the musician.

On the new album, only emotions, and there will be different ones

Bajaga emphasized that on the new album "he is only chasing emotion", and he said that there will be a variety of them. He also stated that the atmosphere of the new material reminds him the most of the album "Jahači magle".

"They are very different, but emotions are always involved. There is also happiness and sadness and love and everything, but I say that I was most interested in emotions as a theme on this album. So for now, it is going in that direction," he reveals.

For now, the title of the album is not known, and the only new song that the audience could hear at the concerts was "Bilo bi lako".
