Tomorrow (Tuesday, July 13) the 12th Bedem Fest will be held at the old city fortress in Nikšić, where Amira Medunjanin, Two Zero, representative of the partner Bunt Rock Festival, Senidah and Lea Dobričić will perform.
The gates of the walls open for festival visitors at 19 p.m., when it will be possible to buy a ticket for 15 euros, and two hours later Medunjanin will open this year's Bedem Fest.
This year's edition will be able to be visited by between 700 and 1.000 people.
The festival, in addition to being organized under special circumstances, will be marked by female performers.
"The line up is special. I think that in this environment, fans of music, personality and wonderful notes that Amira performs in a specific way, will really enjoy it. Female vocalists, divas, will mark this edition. Lea Dobričić for the younger generation, then the band Two Zero , and Senidah on my personal advocacy. An unusual but interesting phenomenon that will round off this year's story in the right way," said the director of the festival, Petar Šundić.
He pointed out that they took care to make the festival recognizable all these years and that they succeeded in that.
"The line up has never been questioned. In the entire region, he has built his own special identity. It is precisely this variety of genres, and every person who performed at this festival, has a long career behind them, spanning decades, but there are of course also young bands . We have always made some strange combinations. Music has no barriers in that sense. This is the 12th edition, and in that sense we will be completely free and flexible so that all generations and all genres, taking care of the quality of the performers, find their place," said Šundić .
This year's edition, under the motto "Just enjoy", is organized with the message "Get vaccinated", and Šundić invites everyone to get vaccinated, while the first 50 young people, aged 18 to 30, who get vaccinated will receive free tickets to the festival.
"After several months of work and effort, in extremely unusual, uncertain circumstances, on the great national holiday of the Thirteenth of July Uprising, the 12th edition of Bedem Fest. We are pioneers again. For the first time, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health, the Institute for Public Health, the General Hospital and The health center from Nikšić and Podgorica is organizing the festival. We took care that social responsibility, which is never in question when it comes to this festival, comes to the fore this time. For this reason, we are using the currently favorable epidemiological situation to continue the tradition, after last year's online edition ", said Šundić.
In cooperation with the Protection and Rescue Service, the area will be disinfected, volunteers of the Nikšić Red Cross will distribute masks, disinfectants, measure the temperature, while in cooperation with the Nikšić General Hospital, 200 rapid antigen tests have been provided.
Šundić said that he owes special thanks to the leaders of the local government, the presidents of the Municipality and the Municipal Assembly (SO), Marko Kovačević and Nemanja Vuković for the support provided.
"Great cooperation, exceptional communication. Bedem Fest has positioned Nikšić on the regional map for 12 years. Outside of politics, taking care that Nikšić moves forward and that this festival is what it should be - the recognizable face of Nikšić," said Šundić.
