Incredible Destinations Events Bač | Special show "Mirna Bačka"
"A unique location, great artists, people and an unforgettable experience. At one point of the recording, I even felt the emotion of the Fortress, and what she went through. That all influenced our performance of the songs. The fortress in Bač is the perfect place for a festival that could happen once a year. My favorite part of filming the show was hanging out with Milet, Rambo, Lajka and the entire production team. Be sure to watch the show and feel the charms of Bačka Fortress", says Marko Louis.
"I am glad that I had the opportunity to visit the Bač fortress for the first time, but also to enjoy the jokes of Rambo Amadeus for the umpteenth time. We played a little, hung out more, and all of that can be seen in Mirna Bačka's excellent show," said Mile Kekin.
"I and the guests were inspired by Bač, and the music that came out of our time together is something completely authentic, unique, original and premiered," said host Bojan Ivković.
The EXIT Foundation launched the project "Events at incredible destinations" with the aim of promoting the beauty of tourist destinations and the cultural heritage of the region with the participation of popular international music stars. In the coming period, the project will present attractive tourist destinations to the world in an innovative way, through a combination of music and cultural heritage of the border region of Hungary and Serbia.
The show was filmed at Bačka Fortress, the best-preserved medieval fortress in Vojvodina. Behind this fortress stands a turbulent and interesting past, which was also one of the topics of the show. An indispensable part is, as always, the traditional cuisine, and the host Bojan Ivković prepared a Balkan pot for his guests, in which everyone added their favorite spice and ingredient. The musicians responded by performing some of the most famous songs from their career. Marko Louis sang "Rockabye" and "Vranjanka", Mile Kekin "On this region" and "Only for that feeling", Rambo Amadeus "Time flies" and "Hard, bitter, easy", and Lajko Felix brought to the audience his two improvised live performances.
While the Balkan pot was simmering, Bojan Ivković talked with his guests about their music, the importance of Exit and the festival in general for meeting people from the region, as well as the promotion of peace in the region, which is part of Exit's activism for over 20 years. The show is also educational in nature, as it shares with viewers legends about the city of Bač, the origin of the expression "peaceful Bačka" and introduces them to important cultural monuments in the area.
Incredible Destinations Events is a partnership project of the EXIT Foundation and the National Heritage Park (ONTE) in Opustaser, Hungary, and is implemented with the support of the Interreg-IPA cross-border cooperation program Hungary-Serbia. The show "Mirna Bačka" also received support from the Ministry of Culture and Information. As part of the project, the incredibledestinations.events platform was launched, where all events from this and similar projects will be broadcast. Activities within the Incredible Destinations Events project aim to establish a new type of tourist promotion in the region, with the aim of increasing the number of visitors, as well as economic and social sustainability.
