Sheet music will promote their music to the world

Montenegrin guitar duo Srđan Bulatović i Darko Nikcevic on the website of the publishing house Naxos, under whose label their last two albums were released, their composer page has been set up. On it, those interested in learning and playing the guitar can find the notes of all compositions from their two previous releases, as well as from the album "Feel the Moment", which will be released in April 2022.

"So far we have released two albums and two singles in audio format for Naxos Records. In addition to the yet-to-be-released album, there are a total of 56 of our original compositions, which have already become part of the world's art music catalog with the audio release for such a large publishing house, which is no small thing considering that we are only the performers of these works, and not the composers of each of them. them", believes Srđan Bulatović.

This, he says, is the first time in history that sheet music by Montenegrin composers has been published on the website of such a large and renowned world publisher of art music, and that now Montenegro is getting its representatives in a significant world catalog of sheet music editions.

"Publishing the sheet music is a great recognition for our artistic creativity, which additionally 'strengthens' us on the world music scene", notes Bulatović, and reveals that it was he and Darko who were in charge of publishing the scores.

"Keeping in mind that these are works that we wrote, recorded and know best, we wrote them into scores for two guitars. Some of them are written for guitar solo, but most of them are written for two guitars. Each of us wrote out more precisely, made scores for the composition that he had created before. It goes without saying that we consulted on the smallest details, whether it was about my compositions or Darko's. All that musical material went through a detailed check by the publisher before it was published," Bulatović points out.

Among the works, there will also be compositions from the new album, which has yet to be published, and the fact that their sheet music will be available before the official publication of the same, the interlocutor of "Vijesti" considers a great prelude to everything that the audience will be able to hear at the beginning of next year .

”The sheet music announces our latest album 'Feel the Moment', which will be released in April 2022. On our composer page, located on the website of the publisher 'Naxos Sheet Music Publishing', there are sheet music editions, then videos for most of these compositions, our biographies, photos, texts about the latest works. These publications and editions are decided by the publisher, who has various services in which they consider how and when it is best to publish the material. Complete marketing and sales for the whole world will be handled by the publisher 'Naxos Music Group,'" Bulatović proudly points out.

Guitarists from some parts of the world have contacted the famous duo before to include some of their compositions in the repertoire. Bulatović hopes that the sheet music of the new compositions will be equally interesting to colleagues around the world.

"There were guitarists from several countries who contacted us for some of the previous compositions that they would hear and ask us to send them sheet music editions. Also, a guitarist from Poland asked for our composition as one of the inspirations for writing his master's thesis. The official editions of our works in musical form will make additional promotion of our music in the world and be more accessible to a wider musical and guitarist population", concludes Bulatović.
