In just two days, the FK Zabjelo stadium will open its doors for the first edition of the Zabjelo Culture Festival, which managed to combine love for quality music and humanity.
On Friday, June 10, fans of good sound will have the opportunity to hear the biggest regional names of the rock scene in one place. The festival opens with a concert by the band Zoster from 20 p.m. After warming up the audience with hits like "Ko je jamio jamio", "Gavrilo", "Imači kada", Partibrejkersi will hang out with the "hypnotized crowd". After them, the concert will be held by Darko Rundek and his team. The organizers didn't forget the local bands either, and this year the band Parampaščad got the chance to perform around one hour after midnight.
Janko Popović, the creator of the festival, does not hide his excitement about the upcoming event. When asked what he would change if he started all over again, he answers:
"There is nothing I would change, I would do it all over again. The feeling is the same as at the beginning, I entered the whole story with enthusiasm, and that's what keeps me going now in the final stage of the festival preparations. I'm not yet aware of how big what we're doing as a team is, despite the fact that people come up to me every day and congratulate me first of all on the courage, as well as the idea.''
In addition to its location, this festival also has a humanitarian character. At least five euros from each ticket sold will be allocated to the Zabjelo Football Club and the Bikers of Good Will Foundation, with whom memorandums of cooperation have been signed, on the basis of which they will direct the collected funds to where they deem it necessary.
The invitation to be part of this unique manifestation was accepted by the members of the Bikers of Good Will Foundation, and at the press conference their representative, Nikola Vugdelić, did not hide his satisfaction.
"We were surprised that such a spectacle was taking place right in Zabjelo and the stadium itself, which means a lot to all of us. Only later did we realize how important it is to support what we do. As before, our focus will be on the youngest, and thanks to the cooperation with the Festival culture of Zabjelo, we will have a great relief in the realization of our activities", said Vugdelić.
The organizers believe in the empathy and nobility of their fellow citizens, who in turn will provide them with an evening to remember, and Rade Radojičić, a member of the board of directors of FK Zabjelo, hopes for that.
"The fact that the fans have taken over the club speaks volumes about how much we care that it survives, mostly because of the children who come there. I invite all my neighbors, everyone who loves and supports what we do, to show that support by buying a ticket. Also, we are glad that we are in this with the Bikers, because they, like us, are mostly focused on children," Radojičić pointed out.
The festival gates will open at 19:XNUMX and close only after Parampaščad finish their performance. Stefan Pantović, the frontman of the mentioned band, did not hide that he likes being alone, and revealed what he expects from the festival:
"There are so many reasons for our band to be happy about participating in a festival like this, both for Zabjel itself, and for the idea of helping the youngest in this way. We are grateful for the trust shown in us by the fact that our band is closing the first Culture Festival Zabelo. We also hope that the visitors will take care to leave the stadium in the condition in which they found it. We will have a good time, but it is also important to behave well," said Pantović.
