Montenegrin musicians Rambo Amadeus and Rothko Stewart, in extremely strong competition from hundreds of video works, triumphed in the competition for the best animated, i.e. video by a new artist at this year's Muzzik Video Awards festival.
The jury and the audience on the website chose the best in 17 categories.
In the competition for the best animated video was the duo Who See, but this recognition ended with the World Mega Car for the video for the track "Rely on Science".
In the video category of a new artist, the votes are tied, and the title of the best is equally shared by Kids from the sky and the song "Prolazna svatr", and Rothko Stewart, with the track "Igram sad".
Rock'n'roll is immortal, that's why even when you think it's over, remember the track "Rock'n'roll after rock'n'roll". Artan Lili and Cane took home the title of winner in the rock video competition.
A very personal and moving story, with a strong message and a video clip won first place in the competition for the best hip hop video. Marcelo and Raid, and the video for the track "Twenty" certainly left their mark on music and video production in 2021.
The main role that the audience chose as the best was the one played by Janko Bošković in the music video for the song "Krindž". Thanks to him, this already great song got a video presentation that is not easily forgotten.
The best indie video is the video of the Slovenian group SBO. They say "Ljubljana is Berlin", and the audience liked this rhythm and the short film that came with it, the most in this category.
The title of the best RNB video in the competition was won by the Bosnian rapper Stoposto and the video for the song "Sugar".
Saša Antić proposed to introduce categories for "grey rappers", however, this year it did not materialize. However, he is the winner in the second category, because the video for his song "Desperado" was selected for the video that had the best direction!
The Funk Shui group has shown this year that they have a huge base of loyal fans, but also that the group of fans of their music is growing every year. The shots that Funk Shui presented to us in the music video for the song "No time" won them the victory in the video clip category with the best camera.
Aklea Neon won the best fusion video with her lyrics and fun video for the track "Ljubnjak"!
The group Porto Morto was nominated in several categories, but the audience chose their music video for the song "Time to chill" as the video presentation with the best concept and art direction!
Montage, post-production and special effects that marked the year 2021, we saw in Zoe's music video for the song "Nirvana".
Another Macedonian group that delighted the audience with a cheerful song that instills good energy and a positive vibe is the group Duper and "Rajot na zemjata" who are the winners in the pop video category.
Dora Šesto showed that good dance movements can express the meaning of some verses and melodies. In the number "Pet godina" by Milošev and Maja Posavec, this talented choreographer and dancer won for the best choreography at MVA 2K21.
Pretty Loud is a group of young, powerful and talented girls whose music video for the song "Equal" left its mark on the music industry and the fight against violence against women. The audience chose this video as the best video with a message.
Finally, the best video of 2021 is the video for the song "Krindž" by the group Stereo Banana. Marko and Nemanja recorded a humorous song with a serious message, and this short musical film won the most prestigious category.
"This year's competition perfectly demonstrated the diversity and vitality of the SEE region. At every end, there is a beginning. The end of this year's MVA festival marks a new beginning for many great musicians. This is RESTART," said the organizers.
