As expected, the representative of Montenegro at the Eurovision, Vanja Radovanović, will be accompanied on stage by five other members of the team, everything is ready for the trip to Lisbon, where the singer-songwriter from Nikšić and the team hope to leave a positive impression.
Radovanović told "Vijesta" that he will be accompanied on the Eurovision stage by Bole Martinović at the piano, the man who signed the arrangement of the song "Inje", and four vocalists: Lena Kuzmanović, Jelena Đurić, Ivana Vladović and Ana Mašulović.
Radovanović pointed out earlier that it is inevitable that he will be accompanied by more singers, because the song he will perform in Lisbon is full of vocals, which must be performed live at the Eurovision Song Contest.
"They have already been to Eurovision several times and we have known each other for a long time. Staša Stanković, who also has Eurovision experience, is doing the choreography and it is coming to an end, so we will have that final product soon. As soon as we get to Lisbon, we will see how it all looks on stage, everything is quite nice and simple like this, because that's what we were going for. Milena Đurđić sewed the costumes for us, in a typical minimalist spirit," explained the musician.
Radovanović will leave for Lisbon with the team on Monday, April 30, the first in a series of rehearsals awaits him on May 2, and the official performance on May 10. The Montenegrin representative says that there is no trepidation.
"I've been treated for stage fright, I live for moments like the one we have coming up, which is a performance in front of people live. And there is certainly excitement, the positive one, because it's a big show, not only that day, but in general during the entire preparation period, and I really can't wait to get there and start the show", said the musician excitedly.
Like all other actors of the most famous European music competition, Radovanović used the last months to promote himself and his song. He believes that all those trips that are now behind him were fruitful.
"It's one thing when you have a product that you post on YouTube, and another is what is expected when you hear it live. I think that we managed, first of all, to bring the song closer and my relationship with journalists and the audience, which was very immediate. But of course the real story starts only when you get there, when they see and hear it at the rehearsals, the opinion of all the Eurovision public changes a little: the media, the jury, the audience... Because all the predictions we have so far are not as stable as when everything starts," explains the musician.
He did not want to assess his chances of reaching the finals, a success achieved so far only by Sergej Ćetković and Nenad Knežević Knez. According to bookmakers, for now, only Malta, Georgia, Slovenia and San Marino have a smaller chance of making it to the finals from the group that includes Montenegro.
"Eurovision is complex. Of course, the song and the performance are important, but as far as placement is concerned, a lot of things affect that. I can't stress about it, because I'm first and foremost a musician, this time I'm representing Montenegro and I'll try to do it as worthy as possible. I am sure that the performance will be beautiful and effective, but I cannot control how we will place ourselves. I hope that we will leave a positive impression that Montenegro 2018 will be mentioned in connection with the Eurovision Song Contest, and I will be satisfied with that," concluded the singer-songwriter from Nikšić.
