American rapper Coolio died at the age of 59 in Los Angeles, his manager confirmed, reports Guardian.
The artist, whose real name is Artis Leon Ivei Jr, died at a friend's house, his longtime manager Jarez Posey told The Associated Press and other media outlets, including TMZ, Rolling Stone i To cheat.
The cause of death has not been confirmed, and the Guardian's request to his manager for comment was not immediately responded to.
Kulio is best known for his 1995 single "Gangsta's Paradise," for which he won a Grammy for Best Rap Solo Performance.
