For years, the Bosnian prince of Sevdah God's Sack during the spring he performs in Podgorica, and this time he will hold two concerts - tonight and tomorrow evening he will mingle with his audience in the large hall of KIC Budo Tomović. Tickets for these two concerts were sold out about 20 days ago.

"There is always a lot of public attention when it comes to Bož Vreć's concerts. We are always happy when he comes. Former director of KIC Snezana Burzan especially opened the way and built a beautiful relationship with God. It was through this relationship that love with the Podgorica audience was born. Again, the hall was sold out in record time, and we didn't expect anything less, because after all, it's a world-class artist," she said. Elida Korac acting director of KIC "Budo Tomović".

Božo does not hide that mutual respect and love with the audience from Podgorica has lasted since his first arrival.

"I'm happy, Podgorica is my home, a place where I feel like a falcon in its nest. The audience that wholeheartedly accepted me and with so much love surrounded, embraced, protected me in this crazy world," he boasted at yesterday's press conference held in the Cue Božo Vrećo hotel.

He does not hide that it meant a lot to him that the audience waited for hours to get a ticket, even in bad weather, and both concerts were sold out in record time.

"It always means a lot to me because Podgorica was somewhere in the first wave, the first meeting and communication was such that we showed that we are one organism, one being that feels and loves the same, and that remains to this day. It seems to me that Podgorica and in general Montenegrin life, if they feel and love you at first, it stays forever. I have already said that you feel me as your own, which I partly am. I always return home, to you, to myself. Wherever we return, it is love , we're coming back to ourselves. It meant a lot to me because there was a storm that day, and no one wavered for a moment to give up. Everyone was anxiously waiting to get tickets, and that was the only way to get them." reminded Vrećo, who has six albums under his belt, and does not hide that it is difficult to create a repertoire for performances.

"It's hard to summarize the repertoire. It's hard to sing all those songs for an hour and a half or two hours. The concert shouldn't be longer than two hours. It's enough for the audience, and it's concise and referential for us as well on stage. As I travel a lot for festivals, the performance always lasts 90 minutes. Somehow they stick to the fact that we live in a crazy time where the focus is not so strong, although I can't say the same about my concerts. It's two nights, we won't remain indebted to emotions and hearts. If a song is not sung, there is a possibility that you will hear it somewhere else, on some other occasion. It is difficult to crystallize the repertoire," Vrećo is honest, who does not hide that he is glad that more and more younger audiences are turning to sevdah.

"We are witnessing that despite the modern vibe that surrounds us in everything, even though these are replications because we go back through the eras, nothing new is being invented, more and more young people are turning to sevdah. I myself like electronic music that can join traditional music . I work in that field, it's close to me, not in a way that appeals to the younger population. I do it for experimental reasons. I got into sevdah experimentally, returning to a cappella without any instrument, and then later that range expanded. I'm somewhere on the borderline , the gap between something that is still old, something that we protect and that is a wealth, a resource, but I also want to be in the 21st century with both feet. I want to make music that has no framework. I don't believe in musical genres, I don't believe in gender. We as human beings do not know gender. We as musicians must not know one definite musical direction. If at one moment you have only one musical direction to follow, you are not behind in understanding everything that is music, but you have impoverished yourself as a person , you did not allow yourself to develop to the limit. The essence of life is comprehensiveness," concludes Vrećo.
