Lake fest: The audience enjoyed the performances of Cold Beer and No Smoking

Several thousand people enjoyed the performances of No Smoking and Cold Beer at the seventh Lake Fest held in Nikšić last night in Krupac.

"Good evening Nikšić", the No Smoking singer Davor Sučić, also known as Sejo Sekson, addressed the audience at the beginning, after which this legendary group played songs that marked their 37-year career.

The audience enjoyed and sang along with the band. The songs "Doll from the front page", "Bos or Hadžija", "Pišonja i žuga", "Yugo 45", "Guzonja's son" were followed, and as promised before the performance, the repertoire of the Sarajevo band included the song " Piccola storia de grande amore".

After No Smoking, the Zagreb punk band Hladno pivo took the stage at exactly midnight.

They energetically opened the concert with the song "Kaže stari šta nam fali".

After that, the songs "Mesi", "Svijet glamura", "Pravo ja" followed... The song "I have a T-shirt" was marked by a torch in the audience.

Hladno pivo did not owe the audience even older hits. The set list included the songs "Superman", "Pijan", "Soundtrack for life" as well as "Jednim osmjehom". Kekin dedicated the song "Jednim osmjehom" to the Montenegrin singer-songwriter Miladin Šobić. Kekin also spoke about Šobić before his performance at the festival.

"I never had the opportunity to meet Šobić. I always liked to mention that he is one of my favorite singer-songwriters in the ex-yu area. I often listen to his albums. "Instead of Stupid" is one of my favorite albums, Kekin said.

The end of the concert was marked by the songs "Not everything is so gray", "Only for that feeling" and "Pitala si me", which caused delirium in the audience.

Talking to journalists, Kekin also spoke about the song "Pitala si me", saying that it talks about what is happening with music.

"It's not just a love song, but it also talks about what happens to music, to CDs, to audio carriers, to the industry, when a song that you thought would be special ends up just like that somewhere in a shopping mall center while people are munching on hamburgers," said Kekin.

He also touched on the connection that the band makes with the audience during the performance.

"The most important thing is that when you stand on stage, you have a reaction from people. When I stand on stage, after the second or third song, I feel like someone injected me with illegal substances and I can jump for hours. If you have a good audience, if you have a good song, if you are in a good mood on stage, then it will be good," explained Kekin.

In the conversation, Kekin also referred to the area of ​​the former Yugoslavia.

"I think that we are a very passionate people in this region. We like to be led by our heart, not our brain, which inevitably leads us to ruin. It is very easy to emotionally ignite people here and rule in that way, and I think we are all victims of such a way of ruling. You should be a little calmer, but as soon as you see that a government has a problem, you immediately start igniting, very often with your neighbors. This is something that perhaps characterizes us, Kekin said, adding that he is anti-fascist and that it is decent to be anti-fascist while "everything else is weird, sick, destructive."

"No one will ever be able to convince me in my life that black and white are the same color, just different shades. That is very important and I stand behind it as firmly as a rock," said Kekin.

The Nikšić hardcore/metal band Gomila nesklada also had an excellent performance at the festival.

Their energetic performance on the home field was accompanied by a jumping audience, and there was also silence.

The band played songs from both albums, and after the concert the band's singer Marko Vukajlović was satisfied.

"Phenomenal impressions, it's the third time we've been to Lake Fest, everything we expected was fulfilled. A lot of people, we had a great date, the atmosphere among the people is great, we played some new, some old stuff, people accepted it well compared to how we thought it would be. This ambience is unique, this festival has a soul. We are very glad that we got the opportunity to play this time, we played well, I hope that the people are as satisfied as we are", said after the performance the singer of Gomila nesklada Marko Vukajlović, who also spoke about the importance of the festival for Montenegro .

"Definitely a revolution in the musical sense happened in 2011 when Lake started. Until then, there was nothing, there were club gigs, more or less attended. Lake fest made a revolution, so to speak, both in the city and in the country, there were so many famous names. From 2011 to today, people started listening to rock music and any other kind of music that leans towards rock precisely because of Lake fest. Because I know that I went through the city and people know about the Rhythm of Chaos, about the Goblins, etc. That was unimaginable in Montenegro some 10 years ago, so in that sense this festival was supposed to happen in this country and it happened, and I only hope that it will last long enough," said Vukajlović.

Lake Fest was opened by the Montenegrin band Mikrokozma. The band's bass player, Nikola Tomić, was satisfied after the performance.

"The impressions are excellent, it's very conditional, everything is well arranged, everyone who works around the stage is a professional. We enjoyed ourselves wholeheartedly. The audience may not have been many, but we like it very much. These are the people who follow us, they are always at our performances. I recognize characters from Kolašin, from Podgorica, from Nikšić. "This is primarily a festival intended for people who come so that it remains in their memory, and rock and roll, which is not really represented, is heard a little through the media," Tomić said.

On the first day, the ska band Justin's Johnson from Split performed, which stirred the audience with ska rhythm, and the young band from Pancevo, Butch Cassidy, made their debut at Krupac.

The first night of the festival was closed by Band X – AC/DC Tribute.

Today at Lake Fest, Parampaščad, OGP, Gru, Natali Dizdar, Galija, Bad Copy and Talisco are performing.
