The "Fish Broth" concert, which will take place on Nikšić's Freedom Square on June 14, will herald a rich festival summer. The concert is organized by the Tourist Organization (TO) Nikšić, under the auspices of the Municipality.
"We are introducing a novelty when it comes to Nikšić, which is to mark the beginning of the festival and tourist season. Nikšić is a city of festivals, and in the past few years we have had several new festivals during the summer tourist season. We wanted to highlight that this year and we think that the concert of the legendary Yugoslav rock group is the right opportunity for such a thing. We can't go against our Nikšić rock nature and somehow we neglect other musical genres, so this summer we will try to change that a bit, but the rock story remains dominant", said the president of Nikšić Municipality. Marko Kovacevic, at a press conference.
He praised the work of the local TO, which, as he pointed out, improves the offer and presentation of the city and what happens in Nikšić during the summer season.
According to the director of TO Nikšić, Mitra Barac, the opening group for "Fish Soup" will be the young Belgrade band "Free Cats" with an interesting repertoire, and citizens from all over Montenegro are interested in the concert every day, as well as from cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which border Nikšić, so they expect that on Friday in the evening the Square will be full.
"From this year, we will have a new content, 'Trim Fest', which will start on June 21 and with four concerts and with some more surprise concerts will last until September 10. At the end of June, on the 29th and 30th, there is an exceptional manifestation, 'Our River Zeta', on Tunjevo, which we are organizing for the third year in cooperation with the Municipality of Danilovgrad. In July, from the 17th to the 21st, the "Romanov Family Days" will be organized, a manifestation that was held for the first time three years ago. Barać announced a varied program, and on June 20, as part of the manifestation, there will be a concert by the band "Zoster" on Tsarevo Most.
This year, the "Fort Blues Rock Festival" will be organized on July 28 and 29, and as part of it, there will be a comic weekend on August 3 and 4. In August, three festivals will be held, Lake fest, from 9 to 11, Bedem fest, 23 and 24, and "Korzo" festival, 30 and 31.
"Lake Fest will have an ever richer lineup, with a lot of international names, which makes us especially happy. Bedem Fest will be organized at the foot of the fortress, and this year's edition of the festival 'Korzo' will be dedicated to our celebrated actor. Dear Malović and in his honor, the children's acting section of JU "Zahumlje" will play a theater show on Freedom Square, and after them, circus animators who come to us from Novi Sad will perform with a program that, I think, has not been seen before in our city. He will perform on the second day of the festival Kiki Lesendrić and Pilots", said the director of TO and thanked the local administration, headed by Kovačević, for, as he said, listening to all manifestations and helping them to be realized.
In addition to the festival, there will also be a rich sports program - a tennis tournament is underway, and a beach volleyball tournament will be organized next weekend.
"The tourist organization, on behalf of the Municipality, will be the host in the realization of a television series produced by RTS, which will be filmed on the territory of the municipality of Nikšić, and for more than a month and a half there will be an eminent television crew in our city with a large number of famous actors from the region, which will be a good advertisement for our city", said Kovačević.
