The premiere concert of the ninth "Made In New York Jazz Festival 2024" was held last night in Porto Montenegro, Tivat, the organizers announced.

After the concert, the founder of the company Rabbit Records and the director of the festival, Vladimir Maraš, expressed his satisfaction with what was done.

The announcement of the organizers states that this year's edition of the festival opened with "street jam session" programs in Nikšić last Wednesday, that it continued on Thursday in Porto Montenegro, and tonight (Saturday, June 22) at around 20 p.m. on Independence Square in Podgorica, random or intentional passers-by have the opportunity to feel the breath of jazz in their city.
"All this is a prelude to last night's spectacle, but also an announcement of another exclusive program that will be held tonight at the Sejdefa jazz club in Podgorica - the beautiful Lana Janjanin and her quartet will have their premiere performance in Montenegro, starting at 22 p.m. At the very end , tomorrow evening, on Sunday, June 23 at 21 p.m., in the atrium of The Capital Plaza in the capital, we will hold the final concert night of the festival. for the end of June next year. There will be a lot of surprises, both with the names that will magnify the anniversary, as well as with the locations," the announcement reads.
The organizers state that an important segment of the festival activities, of which there are a total of eight in the five planned festival days, is certainly the "Master class workshop", which will be held tomorrow, Sunday, at the Sejdefa jazz club, at noon.
They say that all interested artists, lovers of jazz and top music are welcome, and that the entrance is free.
Maraš also said that there is huge interest in every festival program.
He also said that more than 50 percent of visitors to the festival programs were from abroad, from various destinations, from Canada, the United States of America (USA), Great Britain to Ukraine, Russia, China, Belgium, Norway, Turkey, as well as the region.
