The famous American rock band Aerosmith will no longer perform. The band's farewell tour reached its third stop last September when frontman Steven Tyler suffered damage to his vocal cords and a fractured larynx. Now, after multiple delays, the band says that "full recovery from his injury is not possible."
"We've always wanted to wow you with our performances. As you know, Steven's voice is an instrument like no other. He spent months working tirelessly to get his voice back to pre-injury levels. We saw him struggle despite having the best medical team by his side "Unfortunately, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal cord injury is not possible. We have made the heartbreaking and necessary decision - as brothers - to withdraw from the tour," the band said via their website.
The start of Aerosmith's farewell tour was marred by controversy after a woman sued Tyler for sexually assaulting her when she was underage. The singer denied the accusations. After the first postponement of the tour, another woman sued the frontman, claiming he sexually assaulted her in 1975 when she was 17 and he was 27. A judge dismissed this second lawsuit, saying too much time had passed since the alleged incident.
