One of the most interesting bands on the North Macedonian music scene, Funk Shui, will perform tomorrow night at Lake Fest instead of the Serbian punk band Goblini, who had to cancel their appearance.

As announced by the frontman of the Sabac group, Branko Golubović Golub, Goblini will not perform because he will not be able to travel and participate in the festivals in Zrenjanin, Nikšić and Orum due to the situation in the Middle East.

"You know that I live and work in Beirut, and you probably follow the situation in the Middle East, so you understand what the security situation is like here in the country, so, therefore, I am prevented from traveling to Serbia and Montenegro, so unfortunately the Goblins will not appear in Nikšić, Zrenjanin and Orum. I hope that you, our fans, as well as the organizers, will understand this situation. I always hoped that I would never have to send these messages, but that day has come disappointed and I hope we will have a chance to see each other soon. Until then, let's hope there is no war, let's hope some things change... Regardless, I recommend you go to those festivals, line up - are great, there will be good bands... and we'll see each other - Someday! What can I tell you - There are us," said Golub in the post.

Funk Shui, one of the most popular Macedonian bands of the new generation, is known for its unique sound, which includes elements of many genres - from indie rock to rap to electro. He has three studio releases behind him, and the last, acclaimed album "Nikogaš Pak" was released in 2023.

Tomorrow evening, the 13th edition of the Lake Fest will begin in the Poplars of Krupa, in Nikšić. The festival, whose edition this year lasts until August 11, will be opened by the band Subversija from Banja Luka at 20 p.m. After them, Željko Bebek will perform, then Prljavo kazalište, and instead of Goblin, Funk Shui will perform. The first day of the festival will be closed by Turkish DJ Murat Uncuoglu.

On the second day of the festival, Marcelo, the Queen sensation tribute band, Splean, a group from Saint Petersburg, Rhythm Nereda from Novi Sad, and DJ Fedde Le Grand, who is coming from the Netherlands, will perform.

The third day of the festival, August 11, is reserved for Džanum from Nikšić, Jurica Pađen and Aerodrom, Crvena Jabuka, Laibach from Slovenia, while the popular English DJ and producer Jax Jones will close the festival.

This year, the camp in poplars is free, and the organizers have decided to complete the offer, so a stage will be set up in the camp where three bands will perform every evening, from 16 to 19 p.m. This segment of the festival is dedicated mainly to Montenegrin bands.

Bands Na brzeka, Jelene and Eliza Stark&Deppersi will perform tomorrow evening, while on Saturday evening the stage is reserved for Tantrabrothers, Azilante and Devet. On the last day of the festival, August 11, Petrikor, Mikrokosma and Logicka greška will perform in the camp.

Tickets for all three nights of the festival cost 45 euros, while a one-day ticket costs 18 euros.
