Scottish rock band Franz Ferdinand returns with their first album after seven years, called "The Human Fear" - The new album will be released on January 10 of the following year.
Reunited with producer Mark Ralf, who worked on the album "Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action", the band recorded this follow-up to the album "Always Ascending" in Scotland. The video for the song "Audacious", directed by Andy Knowles, announced the new album.
"It's about a bold reaction when you feel that the fabric of existence is falling apart around you. To be brave, to be against. To peer over the edge into the eternity of non-existence and say: Not today, thank you!", frontman Aleks Kapranos said in a press release.
"Fear reminds you that you're alive. I think we're all somehow addicted to the thrill it can give us. The way we react to it shows that we're human. So here's a bunch of songs that search for the thrill of human existence through fear. Even though it you might not immediately notice on the first listen," added the musician.
It will be the first Franz Ferdinand album to feature drummer Audrey Tate and guitarist Dino Bardo. The new line-up of the band will embark on a European tour early next year.
