Young Montenegrin rapper Sara Kurgaš, who performs under the pseudonym Kurgashian, released the mini-album "Mudra", which is available on all music digital platforms. This is her debut studio release, and at the same time the first such release with a Montenegrin rapper behind it.
The album contains five songs, of which "Halal", "Lastiš" and "Chajanka" were previously released, featuring Ronaldo Maximum. Along with the album, Kurgashian also released a music video for the title track, which was shot by Čedo Čizmović and edited by Stefan Radović. Color correction was done by Pavle Vujović
Kurgashian has been publishing songs since 2022, she participated in the Knowhere2Run compilation "Domaća rabota" where many names of the new hip hop wave in Montenegro were presented, and this year she also contributed to the feminist anthem "ANEMOI" on which Vibin wit DJ Mono brought together local female rappers.
"What distinguishes Kurgashian on the rap scene is her lyrics without simple words and profanity, which preserves the local slang and pronunciation," according to the press release on the occasion of the release of her album.
The "Mudra" project was realized in the production of the music studio Knowhere2Run (Todor Tadić, Marko Ćaćić), and thanks to the Organization for the Protection of the Rights of Music Authors of Montenegro (PAM). The cover for the project was made by Marko Janjušević.
