After the release of "Songbook", on which they collected their greatest hits, the Croatian turbofolk punk rock band Brkovi decided to mark their 20th anniversary in an unusual way, and a Montenegrin helped them in this.

The band published a comic book inspired by their songs, simply called "Mustaches in the comic book". Thirty of their songs were translated into comics by their fan from Montenegro, the young artist Jovan Hota, for whom this is the first comic he has created.

"I spontaneously drew the comic for 'Cvjetalo je meni cjeve' one evening, while listening to the song, to send the band at the persuasion of a friend. Shamso (Vedran Pehar, frontman of the group Brkovi) quickly replied that he was delighted and suggested that we make the entire comic. I immediately knew that Brkov's songs in themselves were great material for short comics, and as a big fan of alternative comics, ideas came from all sides," said Hota.

Shamso pointed out that it is a great honor and pleasure for him that his songs have the opportunity to come to life in this way.

"The mustache in the comic" was published by the Rockmark music bookstore.
