Croatian singer-songwriter Barbara Munjas has released her second independent album "Baj baj Kimora".
She previously announced the new release with the singles "Narrative" and "Good morning warrior", for which she released the music video at the beginning of this month.
"Kikimora is an evil house spirit, a supernatural entity from Eastern Slavic mythology. She is not necessarily evil, but very often she is attracted to houses where there is bad energy, laziness, disorder and chaos. Kikimora will not pay attention to you if you keep your house and life in ok. I would say that it is also connected with bad karma," explained the musician.
She said that with this album she salutes Kikimora.
"I put my life in order, got rid of bad energies and showed her the way out," added the singer and said that the songs from this album represent exactly that - cleaning up life and emotional clutter.
The album contains nine songs, the music and lyrics are by Barbara Munjas, and the arrangements are by Zoran Majstorović.
"Baj baj Kikimora" is the successor to Barbara's acclaimed solo debut "Right Place & Right Time" from 2022. The audience previously met the musician from Rijeka as the singer of the groups Barbari and Gustafi, and she ventured into solo music in 2018 with the single "Men".
