The members of the young Montenegrin band 4 Seasons, like the seasons of the year, bring different musical sensibilities that perfectly intertwine into a harmonious whole. Although they did not know each other before the band was founded, Nejra Bašić (vocals), Aleksa Albijanić (guitar), Danijela Raičković (violin) and Vuk Rakočević (drums) immediately found a common language through music.

While many bands start their careers with covers, it didn't take them long to focus on original creation, believing that this is the essence of music. Their sound is acoustic, and the presence of the violin brings a different sound to the band and stands out from the classic pop framework, making them unique on the Montenegrin music scene.

They recently released their first single "Pjesma za tebe" (Song for You), written by the team of Dejan Seferović (music), Ljubiša Martinović (lyrics) and Aleksandar Saša Gajić (arrangement), and this song has received excellent reviews from music fans. They are already performing it at concerts, and Aleksa Albijanic talks about the first single and plans for Vijesti...

Your first song has been on the air for a month now. “Pjesma za tebe” has had good reactions on your YT channel so far. Are you satisfied with the first reactions? How much do those positive comments mean now that you are at the beginning of your career?

The reactions of our listeners are very positive, we have received numerous compliments, the audience likes the song and as they say - 'it gets into the ear'. Positive reactions are truly a great incentive to continue working hard and a huge wind at our back, especially at the beginning.

How did the band 4 Seasons come about?

The band 4 Seasons was created by a "coincidence of strange circumstances" in the sense that we didn't even know each other before the band was formed, and as soon as we met, we somehow energetically matched and connected. We clicked "at first" - our energies matched, first of all we are very good friends, a small family that expresses itself in a creative way through socializing, playing and having fun.

The band name is cute, and perhaps symbolic because there are four of you. Are the four of you really as different as the seasons? Are you at least similar in terms of musical taste and questions?

The band's name is symbolic because we truly are as different as the seasons (in terms of character, temperament, and even musical taste).

One would say - a combination of the incompatible, but in fact together we form a harmonious whole, just as the seasons together form a perfect symphony of nature. Each with its own color, rhythm, and emotion.

It is precisely the different views and debates that help us grow, give us a breadth of views and repertoire, respect and accept differences, and choose the best from each genre. As different as we are, we also have similarities, without which we probably wouldn't have survived this long.

We agree on the most important issues of morality and humanity - we have built beautiful relationships full of love, understanding, trust, and tolerance, so even this "business part" is not difficult for us. We easily reach agreements, we do not run away from responsibility, but everything is much easier for us through socializing, playing, and having fun.

So far, bands from Montenegro have not cultivated this kind of sound, and you stand out simply because you have a violin in your line-up. Is it because of the different sound that it is easier to build a new story and become recognizable to the audience?

Yes, generally from the beginning we tried to make the violin what is recognizable, what sets us apart, and we believe that the audience liked that sound and that in that sense it brought us a lot of good things, even gigs for which that sound is adequate. On the other hand, nurturing acoustics closes some doors, people need to get used to it, so we don't consider that an extenuating circumstance. In any case, we feel good about what we do and the violin and acoustic sound will definitely remain what we want to be recognized for.

The sound of the first song is quite acoustic, romantic. Will you continue in this genre, considering that pop music is completely different today and that performers and authors often flirt with other genres?

Our musical direction is primarily pop/rock, the audience recognizes and loves it. Of course, we are open to experimenting with other genres in the future, but always in line with our recognizable style.

It's interesting that you released the song on Valentine's Day. Was it intentional or accidental, and what does this date mean to you?

The release date of the song, February 14th, was a completely random choice. We didn't plan it in advance, but because of the finalization of the video, we decided to present the song to the audience right then. It turned out to be a great decision, considering the theme of the song.

As a band that is active in terms of performances, do you play it at the same shows and have you already gotten the audience used to singing it with us?

Yes, it is of course an indispensable part of our diverse repertoire and of course has a special place in it. It is interesting that each performance brings with it a new and different energy in relation to how familiar the audience is with our song. If we leave aside the media and social networks, live performances are the best channel through which the audience can connect with our creativity.

Considering that music is currently your hobby, will the success of this song encourage you to work harder and how much greater is the responsibility now not to disappoint the audience with another single?

We do this out of love for art, and we believe that independent creativity is the essence of music. Of course, we will continue to create, we already have new projects planned. The responsibility after the first song is certainly greater, we will remain true to ourselves and what we have done so far, with the hope that there will be a part of the audience who will enjoy it.

It is precisely the different views and debates that help us grow, give us a breadth of views and repertoire, respect and accept differences and choose the best from each genre. As different as we are, we also have similarities, without which we probably wouldn't have survived this long.
