"Live Odyssey", an innovative musical experience that brings six decades of British music to life through an interactive exhibition, performance and museum display.
"Live Odyssey" in London announced an impressive collaboration with the family of John Lennon.
The event, which will kick off on May 22 in Camden, has previously been described as "a celebration of the rich tapestry of British music, offering a unique experience for music lovers of all generations" through "a groundbreaking tribute to the sounds that have shaped Britain".
This attraction, which combines a performance, museum exhibition and interactive experience, takes visitors through six decades of music during a two-and-a-half-hour adventure that charts the evolution of British music, from the early anthems of the 60s and 70s to the Britpop explosion of the 90s and contemporary hits.
Lennon's sister, Julia Baird, will present an interactive exhibition dedicated to the late Beatles member at the opening, which "describes in detail the formative early years of Lennon through to his rise to astonishing fame with the Beatles."
"This is the brutally honest story of the Beatles legend, told by his sister Julia, revealing their extraordinary childhood, memories of their mother, renewed family ties and the many sides of John Lennon," the press release said.
"Julia will uncover the struggle between two strong, willful women, John's mother and his aunt Mimi, for custody of John. She speaks candidly about the sorrows and joys of their family life. She also describes the death of their mother Julia in a car accident and the pain it left on the entire family, especially John as he reached the peak of his fame with the Beatles."
In other parts of the exhibition, fans will walk through six different rooms, each immersing visitors in a different musical era, recreating the sights, sounds and cultural moments that define each decade.
Among the artists that will be presented are the already announced: "The Beatles", "The Rolling Stones", "The Who", "Led Zeppelin", "Queen", "Sex Pistols", "David Bowie", "Oasis", "Arctic Monkeys", "The Smiths", "Eurythmics", "Blur", "Radiohead", "Amy Winehouse".
"Live Odyssey" will also be supported by the "Music Venue Trust", with a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales being donated to the preservation of small concert venues, while proceeds from souvenir sales will go directly to support British concert venues.
