The Organization for the Protection of Music Authors' Rights of Montenegro - PAM CG is announcing a competition for demo rock bands from Montenegro that have not yet released a single original composition, and the winning band will be provided with a professional recording of the awarded composition at the "Stivi" studio and promotion.
In anticipation of World Intellectual Property Day, which is celebrated on April 26, PAM CG is joining the global campaign under the slogan "Intellectual Property and Music: Feel the Rhythm of Intellectual Property" with this competition.
"Application is simple - bands can send demo recordings (in MP3, WAV format or amateur video), along with a short biography of the band and the author (band name, members' names, contact information), to the e-mail address: office@pam.org.me. The application deadline is April 22, 2025," PAM CG explains.
They say that an expert jury, composed of prominent music professionals, will carefully listen to all submitted applications and select the best original composition.
"The competition aims to encourage young and unestablished authors to step into the professional world of creating and protecting musical works, as well as to give them the opportunity to present their work to the wider public," PAM Montenegro pointed out.
The Organization points out that Montenegro is full of talented bands that rarely get the chance to present themselves to the public.
"This is an ideal opportunity to meet them, support them and stimulate them to create new works. The competition for demo bands is just one of the activities we are carrying out with the aim of affirming domestic musical creativity," said PAM CG.
They say that this year's World Intellectual Property Day celebrates the universal language of music and talented authors, "who push the boundaries of creativity and innovation, creating new musical experiences and triggering powerful emotions."
"In the spirit of this year's theme - "Feel the Rhythm of Intellectual Property" - PAM CG invites all demo rock bands to seize this opportunity and join the great musical wave of creating, protecting and promoting original music," the Organization concluded.
