Regional music star Dino Merlin will officially open this year's summer season in Budva.
"Dino Merlin is organizing a magnificent outdoor spectacle in Budva! His first concert after the release of the long-awaited album 'Mi', which is breaking all listening records, will be held on May 24th as part of the festive Season Opening Ceremony," the Budva Tourist Organization announced.
The Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva and the Municipality of Budva are organizing a musical event on May 23rd and 24th on the square in front of the Old Town, which will mark the beginning of another summer tourist season on the Budva Riviera.
"After the more than successful program of the Budva Carnival during the May Day holidays, another fantastic event awaits us in Budva. By opening the summer tourist season with performances by top artists such as Dino Merlin, Saša Kovačević, and other great musicians, primarily from our city, but also from other cities in the region, we believe that we will once again justify the high expectations of our guests and citizens, as well as the title of Queen of the Mediterranean," said Ana Vujošević, Acting Director of the Tourist Organization of the Municipality of Budva.
On Friday, May 23rd at 13 pm, the program will be opened by the most beautiful people from Budva when it comes to music, the Budva City Music and the Budva City Choir, who have specially prepared a set of songs for this occasion in a joint performance, in addition to the timeless hits they usually perform at their performances.
The evening program, which begins at 21 p.m., will be opened by Marijana Zlopaša, known for her elegant and emotional performance of Mediterranean-tinged songs, who is particularly looking forward to the concert in Budva. After her, the audience will enjoy a performance by the regionally beloved and famous pop singer, Saša Kovačević.
The next day, on Saturday, May 24th at 21 p.m., Stevan Anđelković will perform, who has been garnering audience support throughout the ex-Yugoslavia for more than two decades, while at the end of the two-day program, everyone present at the square in front of the Old Town can expect a unique musical and stage spectacle by one of the biggest music stars in this region, Dino Merlin.
"In recent years, the season opening ceremony has become one of the most important events in the annual calendar of Budva events, which attracts a large number of guests in the pre-season period, strengthens the image and contributes to the development of the city's tourism product. This year, with concerts by some of the most popular musicians in the region, Budva is opening the door to another, apparently successful, tourist season and, in anticipation of the new summer, is sending the same message as Budva's young talents through their song with the symbolic title - Budva is calling!", point out the Budva Tourism Office.
