Montenegrin rock band “NeonoeN” consisting of Marko Vukcevic (vowel), Milan Vujović (drum), Filip Vulanović (bass guitar) and Lija Pejovic (guitar), held a promotion for their new album "Huk na zvuk" at the Sokoj club in Belgrade, and on that occasion they played several songs.

At the promotion, they talked about the current album released by PGP RTS. Vladimir Graic, director of that publishing house, but also Branimir Lokner, music editor, journalist and author, as well as Nenad Kuzmic, music editor of Radio Belgrade 202.

Pejović shared his impressions of the promotion for "Vijesti", who also looked back at the recently recorded video for the title track "Huk na zvuk", and revealed that several more songs are planned to be filmed, as well as where the audience will be able to hear "NeonoeN" live this summer.

When it comes to promoting the album, the guitarist points out that "everything went smoothly."

"We had a more than friendly welcome from the hosts themselves, our publisher PGP and the professional association that brings together musicians in Serbia and protects their copyrights - SOKOJ. The entire event was also supported by numerous friends who live and work in Belgrade, and our hearts are full because of the atmosphere and energy that circulated throughout the space," the musician emphasized.

He also commented on how much the positive comments from Graić, Lokner and Kuzmić, who spoke at the promotion, mean to them.

"It's nice to hear comments from them, not only because of the positive tone, but generally because of the opportunity to relive and experience what we were creating through the experience of someone who sees it from an expert perspective and from a different angle," he concludes.

However, their "favorite part of the story" is the gig that followed at the promotion, and Pejović recounts how the audience there reacted to their songs.

"We are doing all this so that we can get the opportunity to play our music. The reactions of the audience present give us the right to believe that it is possible to spread our story further," comments the guitarist.

When asked how the collaboration with PGP, which released the album "Huk na zvuk", came about, Pejović reveals that both parties had the same idea at the same time.

"The director of PGP revealed at the promotion that he wanted to call us right after Montesong and offer us publishing. But we beat him to it, because it was through a friend that we first contacted him. As he himself said, the deal was reached within 10-15 seconds," he shared.

"We had the material and we didn't hesitate to present it. We already had good relations with RTS, primarily through frequent broadcasts on Radio 202, for which we owe the greatest gratitude to Nenad Kuzmić, who was among the first to recognize the quality and gave us a lot of space in his shows. Later, our videos were selected on the RTS music channel," recalls the musician.

“NeonoeN” recently filmed the title track from the album “Huk na zvuk” as part of the documentary show of the Public Service of Montenegro “Alternative Pulse”, where the bands “Vrpca”, “Parampaščad” and “Bubnjivi & psi” were also presented and also received a video.

"This show, first and foremost, represents one of the better projects of the Public Service Broadcasting in terms of presenting bands and their work, giving them a more concrete, broader and deeper connotation through a documentary approach colored by contemporary and artistic aesthetics. The video, which is on the one hand an integral part of the show, was given the opportunity to lead its own independent life in further distribution," explains Pejović, and then reveals why they chose "Huk na zvuk" for this occasion.

"The song 'Huk na zvuk' was chosen primarily because of its rawness and simplicity in terms of production compared to the rest of the album. One of the lyrics in the song says 'drums, bass, guitar and voice - all we need'. That verse captures the essence of what makes playing in a band so enjoyable, and the song was made in that spirit - three basic R'n'R instruments and voice. It seemed appropriate for the type of show, and at the same time it gave us the opportunity to film the album's title song," the interviewee told "Vijesti", and then shared that the members of the band "NeonoeN" are satisfied with the end result.

“When it comes to video works, we first listen to the ideas of the main creator. In this case Tamara Milošević "She presented us with a vision and context, of course in relation to the given technical and logistical possibilities. They accepted us without any hesitation, and once we decided to participate, we gave it our all. We believe that in that sense we are desirable collaborators," says Pejović.

And after they filmed the title track, as well as the song "Clickbait", with which they won at Montesong, but due to circumstances they gave up participating in Eurovision, they plan to shoot more videos.

"We hope that each of the remaining songs that have not yet received their video releases will receive at least some visual form, and in some cases a serious video. Certain collaborations are planned, the nature of which we cannot reveal in detail at the moment," Pejović answers cryptically.

Meanwhile, the members of the band "NeonoeN" are planning gigs during the summer season, and they hope to have them outside of Montenegro.

"...Although we currently don't have a large list of scheduled performances. A Beer Fest in Cetinje is announced for the end of July. Before that, there will be certain guest appearances that are not in the nature of real concerts but are more in the service of promotional activities. These days we will also have additional consultations regarding management in the hope of finally finding a stable line of mediation between us as performers and those who hire us for performances," the musician explained.
