Podgorica's alternative rock band "Vrpca", consisting of Braco Subotić (vocals), Miloš Pejović (guitar), Vlado Zaputović (bass) and Vilyen Salmanov (drums), recently filmed the song "Za dahom vrat", which can be viewed on the YouTube platform. In the meantime, the members of "Vrpca" are working on new material, as Subotić and Pejović revealed in an interview with "Vijesti", and they also hint at gigs in the region as part of music festivals.

They filmed the video for the song "Za dahom vrat" as part of the Public Service Broadcasting documentary show "Alternative Pulse", and they are very satisfied with the end result, as well as the audience's reaction to it, says Subotić.

"Feedback is always important for insight. Organic reviews, too. The song is now complete because it corresponds with the audience. Music is also watched, right?" concludes the musician, who also takes the opportunity to praise the "Alternative Pulse" project.

"A great project, to put it briefly. An excellent idea by the Public Service Broadcaster. To shed additional light on alternative musical expression. The scene has been awake for some time, and this is a good 'boost'," he believes.

In addition to the video, "Vrpca" was also given a space to present itself within the documentary show, alongside the bands "NeonoeN", "Bubnjivi & psi" and "Parampaščad", which is very important for musicians, according to Pejović.

"I believe that projects like this are necessary and very important when it comes to promoting the music we play. It is definitely necessary to support local original bands both through the media and within festivals and all other cultural events," he says.

"It's the only way for a new audience to hear what we do and thus strengthen the music scene," adds Pejović, while Subotić conveys the atmosphere from the video shoot.

"Up to the task. Professional level, to the maximum. Great team of people. They make you feel the way you should. Branka, Tamara, Ratka, Miro. And a lot of other people, I'm sure they won't hold it against me...", says the musician, who also has a positive opinion of the videos of other bands filmed as part of the same project.

"I like every video. It tells a story of its own and carries the aesthetic that the band cherishes," he points out.

And when it comes to new material, Pejović hints that the audience can expect songs in the coming period.

"The band 'Vrpca' is currently working on new songs. Fans will be surprised with a new sound, which is perhaps recognizable when we talk about our expression. We are not slaves to genres. By the New Year, we will definitely release a single," he promises, and also answers the question - what plans "Vrpca" has for the summer music season.

"Regarding performances, in addition to local ones, we have several invitations from the region, but we are not allowed to announce them before the final line-ups are announced," said Pejović.

As part of the aforementioned project "Alternative Pulse", in the first episodes of the documentary show, in addition to the band "Vrpca", "NeonoeN", "Bubnjivi & psi" and "Parampaščad" also participated, who on that occasion filmed their songs: "Huk na zvuk", "Da li živim sve" and "Život moj".
