Zach Starkey, the son of Ringo Starr, revealed on social media that he, along with Paul McCartney's son, James McCartney, and John Lennon's son, Sean Ono Lennon, have collaborated on a new song called "Rip Off."
The song is featured on the band's upcoming album "Mantra of the Cosmos." The supergroup brings together Zak, as well as Sean Ryder and Bez from "Happy Mondays," and Andy Bell from the band "Ride."
On the song "Rip Off", vocals are shared by Sean Ono Lennon, James McCartney, and Sean Ryder.
Speaking to the UK's Telegraph, Zak dismissed claims that the song could be interpreted as a mini Beatles reunion.
"No, that's not it. It's Mantra of the Cosmos with them in the lineup. It's Sean of the Cosmos and James of the Cosmos, but it's still my band," said Zak.
When asked about the comment that they were just missing George Harrison's son, Danny Harrison, to make the picture complete, Zak reacted quite sharply:
"I don't need it. Why would I need it?"
This isn't the first time the descendants of Beatles members have teamed up. Back in 2024, Sean and James collaborated on the song "Primrose Hill," which they co-wrote and composed.
