The concert titled "Music Up Your Summer" will be held on Saturday at 21 p.m., in the courtyard of the KIC "Budo Tomović", where young, unestablished bands will be presented to the audience, and admission is free.

"The Cultural and Information Center 'Budo Tomović' traditionally joins in celebrating the Music Festival, June 21st. This year, on the occasion of its jubilee - 60 years of existence, KIC will mark this significant date for the first time with a concert of young, unestablished Montenegrin authors and performers, soloists and bands, entitled 'Music Up Your Summer', which will be held on Saturday, in the KIC courtyard, starting at 21 p.m.," the announcement of this event reads.

"In line with its decades-long commitment to being a space of openness, dialogue and support for the artistic creativity of young people, KIC 'Budo Tomović' is once again providing significant space for young musicians who are exploring their creativity in the field of current music such as pop, rock, jazz, fusion, electro, hip hop, etc. This program gives young musicians, who are at the beginning of their musical journey, a chance to publicly present themselves and affirm themselves in professional settings," the statement added.

After a public call and applications received, ten performers were selected to perform their original songs. The audience will have the opportunity to hear and see performances by soloists: German Makoev, MC Vanilla (Vuk Bogavac), Frankusrudan (Andrej Brnović), Polimistik, as well as bands: Nabrzaka, Sparina, Sonja Pervova Solfira, Kolektiv 0, Petrikor 1858 and Paradigma.

Special guests of the program are young musical artists Anja Zagorac and Sara Jovović, who are already recording notable performances on the domestic scene.

Before the concert, from 16 to 20 p.m., a record exchange called "Let's Spin the Summer" will be organized.

The realization of the concert was supported by the Organization for the Protection of Music Authors' Rights PAM Montenegro and the French Institute in Podgorica.

"We would like to remind you that the Music Festival is an annual music celebration celebrated on the first day of summer, all over the world. The initiative came from the American musician Joel Cohen, who in the early 80s, for two seasons, was a producer of radio music programs on the French national radio (France Musique). The idea was then implemented by the then French Minister of Culture, Jacques Lange, as a national celebration on June 21, which became an official holiday in 1982. This date soon began to be celebrated in more than a hundred countries around the world," the organization points out.

"KIC 'Budo Tomović' has joined the celebration of the Music Festival since 2002, organizing concerts of various musical genres and guest appearances by prominent musical artists from the region and France, always with the support of the French Institute," the statement added.
