Taylor Swift's album "The Life Of A Showgirl" broke Spotify records by selling 2,7 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release.
The pop diva released her 12th studio album on Friday (October 3), a follow-up to her 2024 release, "The Tortured Poets Department," and it didn't take long for the new songs to make a strong impression.
That already marks the biggest sales week of Taylor Swift's career after just one day, and the second-biggest sales week of any album since Luminate began tracking the data in 1991.
Only Adele's 2015 album "25" sold more, selling 3,4 million copies in its first week.
The final sales results will be announced on October 12th.
