A group of entertainment artists performed tonight at Independence Square in Podgorica to pay tribute to Halid Bešlić, singing some of his most famous songs.
Bešlić passed away earlier this week in Sarajevo, and tonight's event was organized as part of the "Podgorica Promenade" event.
In honor of Halid, Šukrija Žuti Serhatlić, Zdravko Đuranović, Tanja Šeter, Esad Merulić, Dejan Škuletić... sang a song.
From the stage on the main city square, they announced that Bešlić "brought people together from Sarajevo to Vienna, from Podgorica to Frankfurt...".
"An evening full of emotions and togetherness. Halid's songs reminded us once again how much Podgorica knows how to love, remember and sing from the heart. Thank you to everyone who was part of this wonderful atmosphere tonight," Deputy Mayor Nađa Ljiljanić wrote on Instagram.
"In honor of Halid Bešlić, whose songs will live forever, Podgorica will send off the musical great with dignity by singing his timeless hits," the organizers announced two days ago.
