The band "Zabranjeno pušenje" has released a new song, along with an accompanying video, called "Pravda za Vedran", which can be listened to on the YouTube platform, among other things.
"In anticipation of club concerts at Sarajevo's 'Sloga' and Zagreb's 'Boogaloo', 'Zabranjeno pušenje' releases a video for the song 'Pravda za Vedrana'. It is the fifth single from their latest double studio album 'Karamba!'", it was announced on the official website of this musical group.
"Justice for Vedran is a song about fan leaders who teach their followers to be militant, blindly loyal and, as the song says, 'always ready for their home', and who spread messages of violence and hatred among these young people. However, when tragedies occur as a result of all this, the leaders deny any responsibility, write graffiti in the cities of the region hypocritically demanding justice and blaming everyone else but themselves for the disappearance of these young lives," the statement reads.
As explained by the band "Zabranjeno pušenje", the song "Justice for Vedran" is also a message to "our political leaders who very often use such tragedies for their own promotion and cheap political points."
"Which further antagonizes the already tense and conflict-ridden space of post-communist societies throughout the region," the band's statement added.
The video "Justice for Vedran" was produced by "Imaginarium" and directed by Srđan Perkić, the author of the award-winning documentary about the smoking ban "Lights of Sarajevo".
"Zabranjeno pušenje" in an acoustic lineup is coming to Podgorica, where they will perform on November 15th at 20 pm at the Cultural and Information Center "Budo Tomović", after sold-out concerts in Sarajevo, Ljubljana and Zagreb.
As part of the "Neustekani" project, "Zabranjeno pušenje" is holding a series of "powerless" concerts and performing selected songs from its more than forty-year career on acoustic instruments.
