The NeonoeN concert held in mid-September at Njegošev Park will be remembered for a long time. They used the time with the audience to promote songs from their debut album “Huk na zvuk”, and the footage recorded that evening served as a basis for their new video for the song “Zažmuri”, which was released yesterday on the official channel of the PGP RTS record label.

"Our desire is to create, produce, publish and later present our music live in real cycles. Such a principle in music should represent a natural state. However, it is not easy to establish this dynamic within our framework, primarily due to the insufficient number of opportunities to perform on serious stages where the author's work is properly confirmed. The concert in Njegoš Park was precisely an example of this principle. Our city, our park in its center. Adequate space, an impressive stage, sound system, lighting. A real audio-visual experience. All of this would not have happened if we had not had the understanding and support of institutions that are slowly but surely changing the state of things and setting some new standards, as well as friends who we cannot thank enough for what they have done. The Secretariat for Culture of the Capital City, as the organizer of the Podgorica Cultural Summer event, within the framework of which the concert took place, as well as the Organization for the Protection of Music Authors' Rights PAM CG, have been our partners, comrades-in-arms and supporters for many years. Thanks to these collaborations, we have managed to swim in the not at all calm Balkan musical waters," the guitarist and founder of the band NeonoeN told Vijesti. Ilija Pejović and revealed that this concert will soon get its "live" video form.

"It will live on through further distribution on various video services, from traditional media to digital platforms," Pejović is certain.

Through the video for the song "Zažmuri", the four-member team, which, in addition to Pejović, also includes Marko Vukcevic singer, Filip Vulanović bass and drummer Milan Vujović they decided to use the video material provided to them by "A production" and edited Luka Zivkovic convey some of the atmosphere from that gathering. When asked why the choice fell on this particular track from the album and whether this is also a reminder to those who were there of how much they had enjoyed that evening, and to those who weren't, what they missed, Pejović answers:

"Excellently said. Already from the first reactions, it can be concluded that this is exactly the effect that was achieved. "Zažmuri" is a song that we believe has exactly that stadium, concert energy. That is why this type of song is grateful for being shaped into a concert video form. We are quite visually oriented and for each song we have a certain type of visual atmosphere that we imagine while creating them or listening to them later. We leave dramatizations for others, and 'Zažmuri' has just received what suits it, similar to what was previously the case with the song 'Dječak sa vjetrom u kosi', for the screen version of which we used footage from the performance at the Zabjelo Culture Festival", Pejović reminded.

This particular song also talks about the support of a loved one and how much easier it is when the people who love us and whom we love are with us. Vijesti's interviewee points out that it is very important to actualize the topic of interpersonal relationships and support through the song. Although the preparation period for the concert and the event itself were stressful for all the members, they "got through" it all much easier given the fact that they had the support of their families, who were in the front rows at the concert in Njegošev Park.

"We are truly lucky people in that regard. We fight many battles in professional fields, especially when it comes to music and the constant striving to bring things to a satisfactory level in that field. During all this time, we live in harmony with our loved ones and look forward to every moment we spend together. Our songs are not always cheerful, easy to digest and positive, but this obviously has nothing to do with the private prism, but with the general social state. However, in such a state, there are always phenomena that remind us to cherish faith in what is warm, human, down-to-earth and benevolent. We do not allow ourselves to be dominated by only one extreme," Pejović points out.

In the chorus of the song “Zažmuri” they say that “the city is small” and that “the night could have been better”. They described the feeling of limitation that many artists sometimes feel when creating in their hometown. They also often encounter the fact that people value what comes “from outside” more, while local talents are not seen or do not receive the recognition they deserve. Creating in your own city can be difficult, and those who have stayed know best how challenging it is to break through and be recognized in an environment where everyone is used to you, and therefore it is more difficult to attract attention and respect. The members of the group NeonoeN have also experienced this firsthand.

"It is felt every day in every field. Musicians, through various generations, confirm this with their own examples. It seems, however, that it has never been talked about more loudly than today. That is why we believe that things are slowly changing. Everyone has to look inside themselves and think about the extent to which they have fallen under the propaganda and what is really their personal choice. We love our city and our country immensely. That is why some things are even harder for us. Our mission is to open new questions and delve into the answers. Imagine that the songs of your favorite regional or world stars belong to your neighbor from the floor below. Would they still be the same to you? Or vice versa, imagine that one of our songs belongs to those big stars. Would it then be some other song that you would appreciate more?", asks Pejović.

The lyrics that also attract attention are 'yesterday doesn't count, tomorrow may not exist, all we have is this day'. In a time when everything passes quickly, and hits no longer last a month or two, but a day or two, Vijesti's interviewee reveals whether they wanted to use this song to also reflect on the sense of transience of life and the moment, and to send a message that we shouldn't waste time:

"Exactly. It seems we have never been more aware of the fact that everything is transient. And yet, most often we live either trapped in the past or brooding over an uncertain future, missing the only thing we really have, which is the present moment. One of the greatest life skills is recognizing the moment and allowing ourselves to experience that moment in the right way," advises Pejović.
