Montenegro's representative at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest Asja Džogović He has been staying in the capital of Georgia for several days, where the competition is taking place.
This thirteen-year-old from Bjelopolje already has a number of awards from domestic and regional festivals behind her, and these experiences will help her shine in the final of the competition, which will be held on December 13th at 17 pm, with a live broadcast on TVCG's Second Channel, while online voting begins on December 12th at 21 pm.
She has already had her first rehearsal, and she talks about her impressions for "Vijesti":
"The rehearsal went great. I'm satisfied. It's an incredible feeling to be on the big stage and have the support of such a large and serious production. I hope that the European audience will like my song and performance. Today is the date for the second rehearsal. I will do my best to achieve the best possible placement. I can't wait for Saturday," Džogović told "Vijesti" after the first rehearsal.
Although it is a Junior Eurovision Song Contest, her song "Bo tužna i srećna prica" (Bo sad and happy story), which was composed by Daniel Alibabic, the text was written by Natalija Pavićević, and arrangement Dejan Božović is extremely demanding. The text carries a strong message, and is dedicated to children without parental care. Given all these facts, it is not easy to bring it all to the stage and convey the emotion in the right way, but Asja is always up to the task.
"I worked for a long time on preparing the song and the stage performance together with my team, so I arrived in Tbilisi very prepared. My song carries a strong message, I experienced it very emotionally, and that's how I want to convey it to the audience," says Asja honestly, who has always won the most important awards at numerous festivals, and the Eurovision Song Contest for the youngest comes as the crowning glory of her career so far. She also spoke about her expectations, and how important it is to have fun in addition to everything else:
"After many festivals and the greatest recognitions, I am now at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and this is certainly my dream come true for now. This is something special and spectacular and the wish of every young music artist. I want to present myself, my team of authors and my country on my return after a 10-year break with an emotional performance that I believe will touch the hearts of all viewers. Of course, if there is time, there will be entertainment, but the priority is the performance," promises the interviewee of "Vijesti".
Festivals are always an opportunity for musicians to meet new collaborators and colleagues in addition to presenting their songs. Asja used her visit to Tbilisi to expand her friendships. She also had the opportunity to listen to the other contestants, and she says about her impressions:
"North Macedonia is also participating in JESC, represented by my friend Nela". We know each other from previous festivals in the region, so I spend my free time with her and I like her singing. As for the songs, she has a few fast numbers, but also beautiful ballads... I have some that I particularly like, but we'll talk about that after the competition," says Džogović with a laugh.
Rehearsals for such events can be exhausting, but she also had time to take a little walk.
"This is an opportunity to thank our ambassador and our consul in Georgia for their kindness, who visited us and organized a tour of Tbilisi for our team, so that we will have the opportunity to use our only free day in this way," said Asja, who went to Georgia happy to have had great support from her family, friends, and teachers from the "Risto Ratković" school, fellow citizens....
"My city, school, friends are all with me. They sent me off with good wishes. On this occasion, I invite everyone to support my performance through online voting, which begins on December 12th at 21 pm, because this year the audience from Montenegro will also be able to vote for their representative via the link https://vote.junioreurovision.tv", says Asja.
