DJ and producer Diplo has been working on the new album by K-pop band BTS, titled “Arirang,” which is scheduled for release on March 20. The release marks the group's big comeback after more than three years of hiatus and the completion of all members' mandatory military service.
Diplo described the album, which contains 14 songs, as an extremely ambitious and unpredictable project, emphasizing that he expects a strong reaction from the audience, and is confident that the new songs will "shock the world."
"I feel incredibly lucky because I've been working for three decades, and to have the opportunity to collaborate with a group like BTS, to have them trust me and to make great music together... honestly, this is going to shock the world. The craziest album ever," Diplo said, praising Jung Kook's vocal abilities:
"Jung Kook without autotune. Perfect voice," the producer pointed out.
Diplo further emphasized the significance of this project in his career, admitting that this is “the biggest thing he’s ever done.”
The BTS members say they hope their new album Arirang will "transcend time and generations," emphasizing that the project is deeply connected to their identity and roots.
