Members of the band Duran Duran have announced that they will not perform at the Glastonbury festival unless they get one of the headline slots.

Simon Le Bon pointed out that the band had already rejected one offer from the organizers because the offered date did not suit them.

"We want to perform, but not in the disco tent at three in the afternoon, which is what we were offered. We want the right time. We shouldn't be below anyone on the festival program. We'll wait because we're a main stage band, that's just the way it is," said Le Bon.

The band, which has sold more than 100 million albums throughout its career, believes that their status and musical legacy deserve a spot on the main Pyramid stage and an evening slot.

Back in 2023, the band members announced that, if they performed at Glastonbury, they would bring producer Nile Rodgers and producer Mark Ronson as special guests.
