Young classical guitar virtuoso, Petar Nikolić, from Podgorica, achieved another major international success with a triumph at the 17th "Tremolo" Guitar Festival in Skopje.
"Petar delighted the audience and the expert jury by winning first place in the IV category, after which he was declared the absolute laureate of the entire competition with a maximum of 100 points," the statement explained.
As a laureate of the festival, Petar also won a valuable special award - a solo concert at the prestigious "GuitArt" festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria in 2027.
This talented Podgorica native is a student of the Art School for Music and Ballet "Vasa Pavić", in the class of Professor Marko Prentić, under whose mentorship he continues to achieve exceptional results and recognition on the European music scene.
"The quality of Petrov's performance is also evidenced by the fact that the decision to award the maximum number of points was unanimously made by a jury composed of six renowned professors and guitarists from the region, before whom he demonstrated superb technical readiness and an exceptionally mature artistic interpretation," the statement added.
The "Tremolo" festival, with a 17-year tradition, is considered one of the most important guitar events in North Macedonia and the region, and this year's edition was marked by exceptional organization by the team led by the artistic director, university professor Darko Bagevski, and director Biljana Lalcevska Serafimovska.
"This success is particularly symbolic in that Petar is winning a prestigious international competition for the second time, precisely on Montenegro's Independence Day, with a perfect score of 100 points and the title of laureate, since he achieved the same feat two years ago at the "Fantast" competition in Serbia," the statement said.
With this victory in Skopje, Petar continued his streak of 24 first prizes in the last two years. With his triumph in North Macedonia, he added another European country to his rich collection of awards, following the successes he achieved in Austria, Hungary, Greece, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro.
