Tijana Bogićević and Marčelo release the song "Lek za bol" (A Cure for Pain)

Musician Tijana Bogićević and rapper Marko Šelić Marčelo have released a joint song and video "Lek za bol".

"The new song by Tijana Bogićević and Marčela asks the question we all avoid: Are we giving up on each other too quickly today? In a time when everything is available with just one click, it seems that interpersonal relationships have become a consumable commodity. When a problem arises, it is often easier to leave than to stay. It is easier to end a conversation than to have one. This is exactly what the new song 'Lek za bol', a joint project by Tijana Bogićević and Marčela, is about," the statement reads.

"Although at first listen it seems like an emotional love song, 'Lek za bol' actually opens up a much broader topic - how much we are willing to fight for the people we care about today," the song's announcement adds.

"Lek za bol" is written by Dušan Alagić, the author of some of the biggest hits in Tijana Bogićević's career, and it was precisely this idea that was the starting point for the creation of the track.

"Today, it's too easy to give up. People often have the impression that there is an alternative for everything. However, in love, this is not always the case. It doesn't matter who you let go of and who you give up on," says Alagić.

"Maybe that's why "The Pain Cure" is not about perfect relationships. Quite the opposite. It talks about relationships that go through crises, about wrong words, silence, misunderstandings and all those moments in which people move away from each other. But instead of remaining in the space of conflict, the song seeks an answer to the question of what happens afterwards. When emotions subside. When the ego quiets down. When one needs to admit a mistake," the statement explains.

This narrative is accompanied by a video directed by Đorđe Stojiljković, starring Tijana Pečenčić and Marko Braić. Their story goes through different phases of a relationship - from closeness and tenderness to estrangement and attempts to find their way back to each other.

"Interestingly, the video doesn't try to find the culprit. Instead, it focuses on what is often missing in modern relationships - communication. On the willingness to listen to the other side, to take responsibility, and to view the problem not as a reason for the end, but as an opportunity for a new beginning," the song's announcement adds.

For Tijana Bogićević, this song also represents a return to collaboration with an author whose musical sensibility has been close to her for years.

"I'm happy that after a long time, Dušan Alagić is once again signing a new song. His authorial expression is very close to me, and the collaboration with Marčelo brought a completely new dimension to this song. He gave everything his recognizable stamp and 'Lek za bol' became a completely special, our story," says the singer.

"Additional interest is brought about by the combination of two authorial worlds. On the one hand, Alagić's emotional and melodic poetics, and on the other, Marčel's recognizable view of relationships, society and human nature. The result is not a classic duet, but a dialogue of two perspectives that meet on the same topic," the statement says.
