Deep Purple have released a new single, "Diablo," the latest glimpse into their upcoming album, "Splat!".
The legendary rock group will release their 24th studio album on July 3rd, which comes as the successor to 2024's "=1", published by earMUSIC.
After previously presenting the energetic first single "Arrogant Boy", they now bring "Diablo" - a psychedelic and powerful track in which they experiment and improvise together with their guest, country superstar Keith Urban, who plays guitar.
The song is already available on streaming services, while the accompanying video will premiere tonight (June 7).
"It's all about taking risks. For once in your life, do something exciting, step outside the box, take that interesting path instead of staying on the highway, and do something that will either guide you or warn you for the rest of your life," singer Ian Gillan said of the song.
The album "Splat!" marks the band's reunion with famed producer Bob Ezrin, known for working with bands and artists such as KISS, Pink Floyd and Lou Reed.
The album has been described as one of Deep Purple's heaviest and most intense releases in recent years, and the songs were recorded live in the studio.
