Jay-Z celebrates 30 years since "Reasonable Doubt" album

Rapper and producer Jay-Z has announced major concerts in Paris and Los Angeles later this year to celebrate his musical legacy.

The new dates come after the rapper returned to the stage last month for a rare solo performance, headlining the 2026 Roots Picnic. It was his first festival appearance in seven years, during which he performed some of his biggest hits.

At that performance, he also performed a freestyle rap improvisation in which he referenced several celebrities, including Nicki Minaj, Drake, and Kanye West.

The concerts in Paris and Los Angeles come ahead of his upcoming anniversary performances at Yankee Stadium in New York, where he will celebrate 30 years since the release of his debut album "Reasonable Doubt" and 25 years since the release of his sixth studio album "The Blueprint" through three concerts.

Rumors have been circulating for years that Jay-Z is working on a new album, which would be his first since 2017's "4:44." However, his friend and collaborator Cash Cobain recently dampened fans' hopes for a new release.

According to Variety, Cash Cobain said that Jay-Z recently told him that he "absolutely has no plans to release an album anytime soon."

At his recent performance at the Roots Picnic, Jay-Z ran through the greatest hits from his thirty-year career, but he also took the opportunity to respond to some famous people.

He addressed Nicki Minaj and her recent attempts to reach out to Republican politicians, hit back at Drake after the Canadian rapper mentioned him on his new album, and responded to Kanye West for the offensive comments he made about his children.
