Montenegrin band "Senkina đeca", which has been building its path through live performances and constant sound research for more than fifteen years, has released its first original single "Boje".

With a song that talks about inner struggle, self-examination, and the moment when a person decides to return to themselves, the band opens a new chapter in their work and presents their own musical expression to the audience for the first time.

Born out of friendship and a shared love of music, the members of "Senkine đece" have built a recognizable energy on stage over the years, primarily through club performances and performing other authors' repertoire. However, the experience gained through thousands of hours of playing naturally led to the need to create something that would bear their own personal stamp.

"As a band that has been performing other people's music for a long time, over time we felt the need to contribute something that would be our own personal expression," said the band's frontman Dejan Ljujić.

The band "Senkina đeca" brings together professional musicians of different experiences, influences and sensibilities, which is why, as they emphasize, they do not want to limit themselves to strict genre definitions. Their sound is created from a combination of different musical directions, but what remains in common is the emotion, the energy of playing music together and a sincere approach to the song.

The single "Boje" brings a pop-rock and blues sensibility, supported by the band's organic sound.

The music and lyrics for the song are by Luna Kostadinović, while the arrangement was jointly designed by the band members.

"The song 'Boje' was written by our colleague Luna Kostadinović. When we heard the demo recording, we immediately recognized the emotion, message, and direction that was close to us. Through joint work, arrangement, and interpretation, the song took on its final form and our imprint," explained Ljujić.

The theme of the song is related to behavioral patterns in which people often lose touch with themselves while trying to meet the expectations of their environment.

"Colors" speaks of a moment of awakening, a decision to question ourselves and find what makes us authentic.

"It's a story about a man who finally finds himself. That's how we, through years of work, came to the need to find ourselves and present something of our own," explains the band's frontman.

A video was released alongside the song, written, directed and edited by Matija Jovanović.
