Madonna's new album "Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II" debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart, and the Queen of Pop did not hide her delight at the success and positive reactions from the audience and critics.
"Words cannot describe how grateful and surprised I am by the incredible reception that 'Confessions on a Dance Floor: Part II' has received! Thank you to everyone who was a part of this project, especially my fans. So much goodwill and positive energy was truly incredible. I still can't believe it," Madonna wrote on Instagram.
"I can't believe the album is number one worldwide. My dream was to make people dance this summer and bring them joy. Dreams really do come true. Thank you and sending you love!" she concluded.
Appearing on Graham Norton's show, Madonna admitted that she did not expect such success.
"I have no expectations. I've been doing this for a very long time. You hope for the best, but you prepare for the worst. I can't wait for people to hear the whole album, because it's a complete story and a musical journey."
She also revealed that she has not yet played the song "Fragile", dedicated to her late brother Christopher Ciccone, to her 95-year-old father.
"I'll visit him soon and he'll hear it then. I don't want to break him down too emotionally."
Madonna also hinted at the possibility of performing at the Glastonbury Festival next summer.
"I think I'll be on a promotional tour for a while, and then, over the summer, maybe something much bigger..." she said enigmatically.
