Canadian rock band Nickelback has officially announced that their 11th studio album "Everything Under the Sun" will be released on October 30th via Virgin Music Group. Along with the album announcement, the band also released the first single "Rattle the Cage".
The upcoming album will be Nickelback's first studio release since 2022's "Get Rollin'," and comes after a few very active years for the band, marked by the documentary "Hate to Love: Nickelback" and the "Get Rollin'" world tour.
Frontman Chad Kruger says the new album represents all sides of the band.
"This album has everything that the band is. There are songs that hit as hard as anything we've done before, songs that push the boundaries, but also songs that remind us why we've been doing this together for so long," said Kruger.
He added that the song "Rattle the Cage" was the ideal way to announce a new chapter.
"She had the perfect energy to open the door - she carries that strength that we feed off every night on stage and we can't wait for people to hear it," he said.
The band describes "Rattle the Cage" as a rock song made for big concert stages, inspired by the energy of their live performances.
According to the band members, "Everything Under the Sun" will showcase a wide range of their sound, combining powerful rock anthems with more emotional and introspective songs.
Nickelback was formed in the town of Hanna, Alberta, Canada, and has sold nearly 60 million albums worldwide since their breakthrough album "Silver Side Up" in 2001, which included the smash hit "How You Remind Me." Over the past three decades, the band has released numerous songs that have become crowd favorites, including "Photograph," "Rockstar," "Far Away" and "Burn It to the Ground."
The album "Everything Under the Sun" arrives on October 30th, while the single "Rattle the Cage" is already available for listening.
