OK Fest has begun: The delay did not spoil the spectacle

This year, Tjentište confirmed its status as one of the most important festival destinations in the region. The combination of the untouched nature of the Sutjeska National Park and a carefully selected music program once again showed why Jelen OK Fest is unique on the festival map of the Balkans.

The most loyal visitors arrived as early as Thursday noon to take their places in the camp, and the overture to the festival weekend was more than successful.

The audience was warmed up by Peter and the Test Tube Babies, Nikola Vranjković and Nipplepeople, announcing three days filled with good music and a great atmosphere.

The first day of the festival began at noon on the OK Summer Stage by the pool, where the Resident DJ and Mihai Popoviciu were responsible for the good atmosphere.

The program then moved to the OK Stage in the camp, where Bigru and Paja Kratak were the first to get the audience "cooling off." After them, Gužva u 16-ercu put on a great performance, and for the end of that part of the program, the pioneers of reggae music in this region - Del Arno Band - were deliberately left.

Although the program on the Mastercard Main Stage was delayed by a little over half an hour, this did not dampen the mood of the audience who were patiently waiting for Mile Kekin and his band to appear. On the contrary, it was clear from the very first bars that one of those festival nights that will be remembered for a long time was about to happen.

With hits that the audience sang from beginning to end, whether from the Hladni Pivo period or Kekin's solo career, the space in front of the stage turned into a big joint party, once again confirming that punk and festival energy are a winning combination.

The explosion of energy was followed by reggae rhythms from the legendary The Wailers. The audience sang along to Bob Marley's timeless hits, almost in unison.

A special atmosphere was then brought by DUB FX, an artist who, with the help of a loop station, effects, and incredible creativity, manages to sound like an entire band.

And then it was the turn of the OK Festival audience's favorites. Mostar's Zoster, who are performing at OK Fest for the fourth time in a row, closed the first night of the festival. Although their performance started late, one and a half hours after midnight, the audience patiently waited for their performance, enjoying the hits that marked the band's previous decades of work.

"We are practically the house band of OK Fest, we really feel that way. This is a wonderful, gentle story because all the people who came here came in good will, to camp and enjoy themselves. There is no negative charge, everyone is very friendly. I think this is also good for this area, because it is one of the strongest festivals in the Balkans, which has attracted many people from the region, Europe and the world to get to know this beautiful destination," said Mario Knezović from Zoster.

After the program on the main stage ended, the party continued at the OK Camp, and for the most tireless, music was played by Resident DJs, Mihai Popoviciu and DJ Jock.
