The association of the 7th Guards Brigade Puma protested against the performance of Momcilo Bajagić Bajaga at the Špancirfest in Varaždin, after Bajaga's concert in Karlovac on Beer Days was canceled under the pressure of veterans, writes N1.
The association of Puma defenders in its announcement regarding Bajaga's announced performance at Spancirfest on Friday, August 17, writes that they are "not in favor of any bans, but there should be some order and respect".
"We, as veterans, fought for a free and democratic Republic of Croatia - democratic in the sense that everyone has the right to express their opinion, to sing and listen to what they want, but to respect others without insulting and humiliating each other. It is not our intention to impose some bans, but as veterans and citizens we have the right to our opinion, and even more to the respect that all veterans have in democratic countries. We think it is extremely insulting for all Varaždin men and women, and especially for Croatian veterans, to organize a performance by the Serbian singer Momčilo Bajagic Bajage, who, together with other contractors from Serbia, openly supported the Great Serbian aggression on the territory of Croatia," the defenders state in their statement.
Bajaga's performance has already been canceled in Karlovac on Beer Days, as veterans' associations also protested.
